What is 1bcde.com “Virus”?
1bcde.com is a very annoying Browser hijacker app which usually targets Windows computers and becomes part of the system via Automatic/Quick installations of bundles, freeware programs, torrents and “recommended” browsing components. This application has been developed by online marketers and software developers with the sole purpose of earning quick profit from Pay-Per-Click advertising schemes. 1bcde.com “Virus” is set to redirect your online searches and to force you to click on sponsored ads and paid commercial messages. However, the main user interface of this Browser hijacker is been designed in such a way so that it looks like a helpful software that would supposedly provide the user with some free features and enhance their browsing experience. Meanwhile, in contrast to what it claims to be able to do, 1bcde.com only performs various potentially unwanted page-redirecting activities on the compromised computer and users often end up getting disturbed by its aggressive ads generation. Many people tend refer to this application as a virus due to its intrusive behavior but can it really be that dangerous? Let’s find out.

Why is 1bcde.com often considered to be dangerous?
1bcde.com is not a real virus, it is instead an ad-generating type of software which wouldn’t typically cause any harm to the computer it’s installed on. Still, it can be very irritating to some users. Usually, the homepage or search engine changes that this browser hijacker may impose would be difficult to remove as long as the unwanted app stays on the PC. Moreover, the hijacker often tries to trick the users into clicking on some questionable online ads, intrusive pop-ups and unfamiliar web locations for the purpose of its Pay-Per-click money generation. It also typically monitors the users’ online activities and displays various intriguing ads, pop-up messages, banners, coupon codes, deals, discount offers and system notifications, based on their latest interests. Also, 1bcde.com is likely to impose new browsing settings which, every time you try to visit a particular web address, may forcefully redirect you to totally different sponsored sites. Furthermore, it may trick you into downloading various free components and tools from unknown developers or non-reputed sources which may sometimes contain harmful code or real viruses such as Spyware, Trojans or Ransomware.
Oftentimes, the hijacker can require a fair share of your CPU or RAM resources for its ad-generating activities which might lead to slow-downs and unresponsiveness of your system. Such software may also be set to collect browsing information from your system such as IP address, browsing history, location, language, recent online purchases, etc., which data can be misused if it falls into the wrong hands. Therefore, it is usually recommended to uninstall 1bcde.com as soon as you detect it in your system.
