What does “Ads by Ads Remover” Virus normally do inside your PC?

Behind the intrusive flow of ads, pop-ups and promotional messages that keep interrupting your web browsing there’s usually an ad-generating piece of software, which is commonly known as adware. “Ads by Ads Remover” Virus is a typical representative of this software family and as such, it basically messes with your default browser by integrating an ad-generating component in it, which constantly displays different ads, pop-ups, banners, promotional messages and intrusive offers. These ads are usually very irritating since, in most of the cases, they cover up your entire screen, pop up out of nowhere and interfere with your normal browsing activity by constantly prompting you to click on different products, services, and websites. Many people, who have to face this ad annoyance on a daily basis get angry and decide to uninstall the software from their system. This is pretty understandable, but can “Ads by Ads Remover” be related to viruses or some risky activities, apart from the ads annoyance? Let’s see.

Can “Ads by Ads Remover” Virus pose security risks to your machine?

Fortunately, adware programs are rather harmless. These pieces of software are not related to any kind of online fraud, malicious activity or criminal deeds. In fact, adware is an advertising-oriented toos, which doesn’t affect anything else than your browser and is exclusively concentrated in displaying ads and promotions for the marketing purposes of its developers. Sometimes, programs like “Ads by Ads Remover” Virus may be incorporated in Pay-Per-Click campaigns, but this also is not illegal activity or something malicious. A real virus or malware like a Trojan or Ransomware, on the other hand, would never spare your system and will most probably cause huge trouble with your files or your entire computer. A Trojan, for example, can compromise your privacy and steal your credentials, while Ransomware can encrypt your files for the purpose of an online blackmail scheme. Adware like “Ads by Ads Remover” Virus cannot do any such thing and can only be held responsible for the eventual browsing irritation it may cause. In some cases, it may be used to monitor your browsing activity and send this data back to its developers, who can use it for their marketing purposes and ads customization. This can be seen as a bit of a privacy invasion in a way, but not as something harmful or fatal for your system’s safety.

How could you possibly get adware inside your PC?

Adware is distributed far and wide on the web, mostly packed along with some other programs, which promise you functionality and interesting features for free. Such packs are commonly known as software bundles, and they can usually be found on different free download platforms, shareware sites, free software installers, torrents, spam emails or direct downloads from the web. We know that it is impossible to stay away from all these web locations completely and sooner or later you will end up downloading some free program or a game, a video/audio player or some new application, but to protect your system, it is a good idea to cultivate some good habits when it comes to installing such bundles inside your PC. For that, every time you run a new setup, always check for options like “Advanced” or “Custom”. These options will disclose all the additionally bundled programs, which may be included in the pack. They give you much manual control over the installation process and can help you easily disable the adware, or any other potentially unwanted program before it has even been installed. If you skip that, you will install the whole bundle as it is and will most probably end up with a bunch of potentially unwanted programs inside your machine.
