Indeed, .Asasin Virus and all the other viruses like it act in the same way: they continue according to their schedule. First of all, such a virus explores all your storage space to define which files exactly you have accessed most frequently. Following that, the process of making a detailed list of all such data takes place and the true contamination process: the encryption of your files follows. Following that, after all that has been completed, you get perhaps the most frightening message on your monitor, which lets you know about the terrible process that has taken place, and the late state of your data – the ransom-demanding message.

The first FAQ: to pay the ransom or not to pay it, to which the correct answer is…

Most importantly, the ultimate aspect of finding out about this kind of malware is to find out you have been tortured by criminals and persuaded to spend your money on that. These people have no scruples when they unleash this cyber threat upon you. How will you ever be capable of making sure they will have some mercy and return your data in case you send them the required ransom? You never have any such guarantee. Our sincere recommendation to you is to attempt all other opportunities before you and only after you have done all you can do – to consider paying off the ransom they want from you. Consider consulting an expert, as well as purchasing specialized software or using a Removal Guide, like the one we have designed and included down below. Despite that, bear in mind that nothing can promise the safety of your files once they have already been encoded.

Only prevention can help:

No removal tricks or instructions can ever be as efficient as the tips we are going to give you, if we talk about Ransomware. Try to bear in mind that practicing some healthy browsing habits will secure the safety of your PC in general. When we talk about Ransomware, the initial step towards efficient prevention is to just avoid all its potential sources, which may include:

  • Electronic letters, fake ads from illegal or shady web pages; suspicious notifications and pop-ups in the form of requests; illegal websites and their content. Trust your gut feeling and if something looks suspicious, simply ignore it, never click on anything or follow any links.

Lastly, spend your money on the best – and this applies to everything in life. The way you select your doctors, treatments and appliances, simply pay as much attention to the selection of your anti-malware tools and your PC protection and safety.
