A common thing among most system optimizers is that they might not always be as effective as advertised. Different reports from both regular customers and experienced cyber-security specialists suggest that similarly to many other optimization tools out there, AutoClean Pro 2018 might oftentimes not improve the performance of the computer any significant amount. For instance, one typical example here is the cleaning of the Registry. Did you know that there’s no actual concrete proof that deleting registry keys would actually make your PC run faster or smoother. Even if there’s some technical improvement, it is most likely not going to be noticeable in a lot of the cases. On the flip side, however, bear in mind that if some important Registry key gets deleted by a system optimizer tool there are all kinds of serious issues that might arise. Your computer might become unstable or exposed to online threats, random errors might start popping-up and many other similar problems might occur.
Promotional techniques for the paid version
AutoClean Pro 2018 “Virus” isn’t actually a free program. It has a free version, yes, but the free version only comes with a scanner feature. Now, that can be useful sometimes as the tool could point the user to the potentially problematic software on their PC and allow them to manually remove it. However, there are a lot of reports that the free version of AutoClean Pro 2018 “Virus” actually tends to give a lot of false positives by detecting elements on the user’s system as problematic whereas in reality there are no visible issues with the user’s PC. Not only that but the program also rather aggressively prompts the user to buy its full version in order to resolve the detected issues (which might not even be there to begin with). As you can see, such a dubious promotional method could easily trick someone into spending money on a software that they don’t really need. Also, if you decide you won’t buy the licensed version, you are likely to be getting continuously irritated by the intrusive prompts that are coming from the optimization tool.
Distribution of PUPs
Normally, most PUPs get distributed through file bundles. Some such apps might have an official site but the file-bundling method still seems to be the main reason people get such programs on their machines. To avoid future encounters with AutoClean Pro 2018 “Virus”or any other similar app, be sure to always customize the installation of new programs you want to set up on your PC. To do that, use the Advanced/Custom setup option and see if there are any added components to the main install. If you see anything bundled that looks unwanted, opt out of it before you continue.
|Danger Level||Low (This program isn’t dangerous to your PC but could still persuade you into buying its full license without you really needing it)|
|Symptoms||Pop-ups that warn you about issues with your PC which might not be real or which might be exaggerated in attempts to make you purchase the paid version of the program.|
|Distribution Method||Mostly through file bundles where the app is added to another program as an optional install.|
