This page aims to help you remove AutoFixer Pro 2018 “Malware”. Our removal instructions work for every version of Windows.

In the next lines we will be focusing on a PUP (potentially unwanted program labeled AutoFixer Pro 2018. It is a system-optimizer that seems to have the tendency of showing exaggerated or outright fake system scanning reports in attempts to persuade the user into buying its paid version. Below, we will give you outlook on this matter so that you can decide for yourself if AutoFixer Pro 2018 is something that you’d like to keep on your PC or if you’d rather have it removed. In case you opt for the latter variant, we have prepared a guide for you which will help you uninstall the PUP and ensure that there’s nothing left from it on your computer.

Do you want your PC to run faster and operate smoother? Naturally, most users would answer with an “Yes” to such a question. Precisely this has lead to the development of a lot of software programs that are supposed to optimize the users’ computers. You can call them system-optimization tools or computer-health programs or something else but the fact is that such computer applications seem to be everywhere. Of course, it is good to know that there are programs out there that can make your computer perform better, right? Well, the answer to this question might not be as clear-cut as you might think. The thing is that a lot of software developers actually tend to create pseudo system-optimizers that might or might not be useful for you. AutoFixer Pro 2018 “Malware” is one example of such a software tool and in this write-up we will tell you more about why many researchers actually consider this program to be unwanted and undesirable.

AutoFixer Pro 2018 “Malware”

 Pseudo-optimizers

According to its description, AutoFixer Pro 2018 “Malware” is supposed to clean your PC off redundant Registry Keys, Startup entries and Adware programs that might be causing you disturbance and slowing-down your computer. So far so good. However, a number of cyber-security specialists have reported that this app might actually give false positives after scanning your PC as well as detect certain elements such as Registry keys as problematic while that’s not actually the case . The scanner aspect of the program can be downloaded and used for free but in order to get the removal/cleaning feature of AutoFixer Pro 2018 “Malware”, the user would have to purchase the license for the program. With all that said, it really seems like the scanning results might be getting intentionally exaggerated just so that the user would be more prone to buying the license for the paid version of the tool. As you can see, this can be regarded as a rather dishonest way of getting more customers to purchase your products by misleading them into thinking that their computer has more serious issues than it actually has in reality.

If the guide doesn’t help, download the anti-virus program we recommended or try our free online virus scanner. Also, you can always ask us in the comments for help!

Another point we need to make here has to do with the nature of Registry cleaner tools in general since there really are a lot of such apps out there. There is actually little to no evidence that cleaning the Registry off supposedly redundant entries would actually improve the performance of your PC in any noticeable way. On the flip side, however, if a such a Registry-cleaner app accidentally deleted an important Registry key, the PC system might become unstable and a variety of issues might occur that weren’t present beforehand. There is in fact an official write-up by Microsoft, where they state that they do not support Registry cleaners and that such apps might actually sometimes lead to severe issues with one’s computer. With all of this in mind, one should probably consider just how much they really need such a program on their computer. Still, though, we must mention that despite the the ambiguity surrounding the actual effectiveness of AutoFixer Pro 2018 “Malware”, this is a legitimate piece of software with an official site and many users worldwide. Therefore, it is up to each individual to decide for themselves whether or not they need this program on their machines.

Distribution of PUPs

You can download AutoFixer Pro 2018 “Malware” from its official site but there are some other methods that might get used for distributing this and other similar programs that users need to be aware of. For instance, a lot of such optimizers tend to get bundled with other programs and get installed alongside them when users opt for the Default setup options. We advise you to not do that and instead use the Custom setup menu so that you can opt out of the installation of any bundled software that you might not want on your PC. Another thing that’s worth mentioning is that many PUPs and other similar apps tend to get promoted by various web ads so be careful with what you click on and interact with while browsing. Spam e-mails are another possible distribution technique for potentially unwanted software so be on the lookout for that too.
