This page aims to help you remove [email protected] Ransomware Virus for free. Our instructions also cover how any [email protected] file can be recovered.

Our article today focuses on [email protected] As far as we are informed, this program is based on Ransomware and represents a terrible malware tool for blackmailing people. What we mean by that is this sort of software tends to encrypt data files from the victim’s device and afterwards blackmail the affected users into paying a ransom in exchange for the access to that data. Below, we are going to review all the features of this kind of malicious software and give you some ideas about the safe removal process.

Ransomware as a whole

Ransomware viruses that are able to lock up a certain component of your device and later on – demand a ransom for unlocking it. There are several main types of Ransomware.

If the version that has attacked your PC is file-encrypting – like [email protected], you face the following process. Most commonly, this malicious program will be looking for certain file formats on your computer drives. As soon as all files that belong to the said file formats are detected, an encryption process will start. During the encryption process, the targeted files get copied into encrypted copies. After that the originals are deleted and the affected data could only be accessed through the copies. And guess what? The copies are inaccessible since they’ve been secured by a special key and you have to pay to receive it. We must say that at first the entire idea of encryption was introduced as something that could save your data, not endanger it. However, as you can see, the hackers have found a way to use this process in a dishonest way.

Alternatively, some Ransomware versions seek to lock-up the screen of the targeted device instead of its files. In such cases, instead of encryption, the malware uses a simply screen-wide banner which prevents the user from accessing anything on their device. This type of screen-locking Ransomware viruses are typically easier to deal with.

How to Decrypt [email protected] files

We have a comprehensive (and daily updated) guide on how to decrypt your files. Check it out here.

Whatever you try, simply never pay the demanded ransom before you have at least made some effort to cope with this problem yourself as such ransoms are not small sums of money and are usually requested in Bitcoins. That means that once transferred, the money cannot be tracked down and the blackmailers will probably avoid getting held responsible for their deeds.

How to stay away from such serious threats the likes of [email protected]?

The most useful tool against the blackmailers is prevention. All their viruses are useless if you know how to keep your data and PC safe. For that purpose we will present some helpful tips.

First of all, try keeping your system as well-protected as possible by updating it on a daily basis. An OS needs regular updates to function properly. The same should be done with all the programs that you have – especially your antivirus tool. Also, make sure that you use only licensed software from trustworthy sources. Avoid all illegal free versions of any programs as they might be contagious.

Secondly, bear in mind that Ransomware could also come from the spam you get on your email or some random contaminated ads you might click on while online. Ensure that you are very careful while handling both of those online components.

Last but not least, try going only to the web locations that are proven to be safe as many web pages might be infected by such malware and you must stay away from those.

Good luck!
