The largest number of malware infections that are reported on a global scale are normally caused by Trojan horse viruses. Nevertheless, the ones, which are most hazardous, are the consequences of the activities of the so-called Ransomware viruses. Typically, what Ransomware does is it encrypts your data. More precisely, the data, which you use most regularly, may become victims of such viruses. Below we are describing BlackJockerCrypter Virus – an exemplary Ransomware version.

Important details about Ransomware

In fact, there is nothing more dangerous than this malware on the web. These viruses normally invade your system on their own. Most importantly, an infection may occur immediately after you happen to come across a possible source of such a virus. Below you will find a list with all the typical Ransomware sources. One more important aspect of all Ransomware versions, whatever exact category a particular virus falls into, is that they are likely to encrypt something of importance on your computer, and after that – require a ransom for unblocking it. What’s more, nearly all the viruses from this group are awfully hard to remove and could become the reason for a real headache if you try to get rid of them. In addition, Ransomware consists of several virus groups. Here they are:

  • The awful file-encrypting subtype:
These types of Ransomware are exploited for encoding They invade your PC  by themselves, then get to your hard disks, search for the files, which are used the most, and block these files with a key, which is very difficult to destroy. To be honest, this is the most horrible type of Ransomware, as your data is in real danger, and at times you can do really nothing about that. Uncertainty is everywhere in such a case as even completing the payment of the ransom, which you are harassed into doing via a frightening notification, may not really help you restore your encrypted data.
  • Display-encoding Ransomware:
This category itself can be divided into two subtypes:

    – Ransomware, which blocks the displays of mobile devices (such as tablets and phones) and makes them completely inaccessible to you. This virus subtype doesn’t encode any data. However, you will not be capable of accessing them because your display is going to be covered with a really big notifying alert, which states that the hackers require a ransom payment from you in order to unlock it.
    – Ransomware, which blocks the screen of your desktop computers and laptops. Normally, it works in a way very similar to this of the mobile device locking viruses. Actually, these viruses can simply make you unable to use the desktop of your computers, again, by showing a huge ransom-demanding notification.

BlackJockerCrypter Virus  falls into the Ransomware subfamily, which is to blame for the encryption of files. It must be terrible to read that, but as we have mentioned above, this subgroup is indeed the worst and the most hazardous one. All these facts mean your data will get encrypted, and then – the hackers will start harassing you in an attempt to make you pay them.

How to cope with such a terrible contamination?

Unfortunately, there is no working solution when it comes to Ransomware, once such a virus has already infected your PC. If NO infection has occurred yet, the most effective tip we can share with you is to simply back up all of the files that are of value to you on external drives or a cloud. However, as soon as your machine has caught such a Ransomware version, the chances are that you will be unlikely to counteract it in any way. No one, no program and no tip could really promise you the successful removal the virus and decryption of the affected data. Just improvise and see what happens when you explore some of your alternatives:

  • Purchase a powerful decrypting tool. It is possible that the new programs will be able to deal with a Ransomware infection. Still, we haven’t heard of such effective programs, yet.
  • Try to remove the virus with the assistance of a professional in this field. This could, however, be quite costly. Nevertheless, it is still a better choice than, for instance, mindlessly giving your money to some unfamiliar cyber criminals.
  • Look for and find a successful kind of know-how, which has already been shared by some previous victims on blogs and forums.
