What is Ransomware and why is it so dangerous?

One thing that you should know about Ransomware infections is that they are no joke. These threats can be more malicious for you than anything else on the web because they can cause a serious loss of data and affect your professional and personal life. Representatives of this malware group such as [email protected] can place an almost unbreakable encryption on all the files found on the infected computer and request a ransom payment in exchange for the reversal of the encryption. You can imagine how devastating the consequences of such action can be if this Ransomware attacks businesses, big companies, institutions, and even regular web users whose work and personal files may get affected. In fact the security experts already know of cases where schools, hospitals, governmental institutions and corporations have been blackmailed to pay huge amounts of ransom money in order to regain the access to their databases. If [email protected] has targeted your data, the demanded sum might not be that big yet if this malware has placed its ransom-demanding message on your screen, you are surely wondering how to deal with it without actually making the demanded money transfer. Well, let us give you some alternatives.

Is there a way to remove [email protected] and save your data?

Ransomware is a global computer threat, which poses a serious challenge to the security experts all around the world. This type of malware operates in a very specific way and unlike other viruses, which usually cause system corruption and destruction, Ransomware does not cause direct harm to the infected machine. Yet, the consequences of its actions can be devastating. Once inside the system, [email protected] immediately scans the hard-drives and locates files that belong to certain commonly used formats. After that, it secretly applies a special encryption to each one of them, thus rendering them inaccessible to anyone who does not have the secret decryption key. Reversing the encryption is almost impossible without that key, which is why the hackers require a fat amount of money in ransom for it. They usually promise that you will be able to access the key and get your files back the moment you fulfill their ransom payment instructions. But can you really save your data if you pay?

Sadly, there is no guarantee for the successful reversal of the malicious encryption. Sometimes, even the secret key may fail to decrypt the complex encryption algorithm. Furthermore, many victims never get the chance to even try it – the hackers simply don’t send them any key and vanish with the money. For this reason, we usually do not recommend complying with the hackers’ ransom demands. These are, after all, criminals, which will oftentimes not hesitate to trick you and even blackmail you for more money. That’s why you should definitely try to avoid their criminal schemes and opt for alternative solutions.

To deal with [email protected], the first and most important thing you should do is locate and remove the Ransomware-related data from your computer. It is very important you do so, because every file you eventually manage to recover may become encrypted again if the malware is still present on your machine. The Removal Guide below can help you to manually identify [email protected] but if you need some more assurance, it is best if you scan your PC with the professional [email protected] removal tool from this page. This software will run a thorough scan and will remove not only the Ransomware but also some other potential threats that might be lurking in your system. When the computer is clean, the best recovery of your data could happen from backups. Don’t forget to check your cloud storage and external drives for copies of your files or give a try to the file-restoration instructions that we have shared below. Another recovery method could be the use of decryptor tool. You can google for such tool or check out our list of free decryptors that we regularly update with any new available instruments, which can help you reverse Ransomware encryption. Of course, you can always contact a security expert of your choice for professional assistance and this is anytime better than giving your money to some anonymous hackers.
