Captcha State

Captcha State belongs to the software application class of browser hijackers. As such, Captcha State is a tool for generating and displaying online ads directly in your Chrome, Firefox, Edge or other popular web browser.

Captcha State can do this by means of integrating special ad-generating components in the browsing program. And as a result, your browser will begin to spew immense quantities of popup windows, banners, box messages, links and various other colorful and obnoxious advertising messages. Another means of advertising also has to do with forcibly rerouting your page while you’re browsing the web and sending you to a specific, predetermined web location, which is known as a page redirect. This is browser hijacker trait is almost as common as it is annoying and can be quite frustrating for users.

Hijackers like CaptchaState also have a tendency to meddle with other settings of the infected browser, which becomes apparent in its interface. For instance, CaptchaState may change the browser homepage and may even replace the default search engine with a new one. Furthermore, you may notice new elements in the browser’s interface, most commonly a new toolbar.

But what’s remarkable about this type of software is that once it embeds itself in your system, it will be dominating in your browser and you will have little say in the way it looks or behaves. You can see for yourself if you try and alter the settings changed by Captcha State. As soon as you restart your web browsing program, any changes you made will be overrun by the hijacker and you will once again be faced with its search engine, its homepage, etc. Therefore, the only possible way you will be able to reclaim your favorite Chrome, Firefox or other browser from the clutches of Captcha State is if you remove the hijacker in question from your system.

This may prove to be a little trickier than simply locating the ‘Uninstall’ button, because in most cases with these types of applications – there isn’t one. The developers have little interest in you deleting their software from your computer, so they try and make this as difficult for you as possible.

But we have figured out how to quickly, easily and, most importantly, completely uninstall Captcha State from your computer. And we will share with you how to do this in the free removal guide you’ll find just below this article.

Keep in mind that removing this browser hijacker isn’t only a matter of preserving your nervous system and saving yourself the time you’d be wasting on closing various banners and other ads. It just so happens that programs of this kind may potentially expose your system to external threats such as rootkits, Trojans, spyware and ransomware viruses due to the many web locations they can send you to. You could at some point land on a site or page that’s been compromised by hackers and may have been turned into a distribution hub for viruses. Hence, removing Captcha State from your system will also be beneficial for its overall security.
