If you need help with the removal of one particularly irritating piece of software named Cl96rwprue.com from your computer, know that here you can find all the assistance you might need for getting rid of this pesky app. Cl96rwprue.com is basically a browser hijacker – it “steals” your browser and alters its appearance and functionality in various ways. When there’s a hijacker on your IE, Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Opera browser, there will likely be a lot of ads, banners, page-redirects, pop-ups and other kinds of annoying ads getting streamed on your screen while you are trying to browser the Internet. Also, a new toolbar, search engine and starting page might get imposed on your browsing program without you having given your permission. Naturally, most people would find this really irritating and unpleasant. After all, there is a reason why hijacker apps like Cl96rwprue.com belong to the PUP/PUA (potentially unwanted program/application) software category. The good news here is that it isn’t all that complicated to get rid of a hijacker if you have some basic idea where to look for it inside your system and what different steps need to be carried out in order to fully uninstall the unwanted software component. We will show you that in the guide below so we advise you to give it a go if you are currently struggling with Cl96rwprue.com’s presence on your machine. Note that it is important that you remove the hijacker not only because it can be highly irritating but also because there are certain risks that might arise due to its presence on your PC. The hijacker itself isn’t a particularly dangerous software piece and is unlikely to try to harm anything on your machine. However, there are some hazards that might indirectly come from it which is why it’s crucial that you remove the unwanted app as soon as possible.

Hijacker characteristics
Oftentimes, users might initially think that the hijacker app is some useful extension for their browser that would help make the Internet experience safer and better optimized. Unfortunately, however, such a first impression almost always turns out to be unrealistic. Hijackers are mostly used as advertising tools and their creators accumulate huge amounts of money through the ads that get streamed to the user’s screens. Though the employment of revenue-generation techniques like Pay-Per-Click and Pay-Per-View, browser hijacker developers earn significant profits from their products provided that the hijacker apps get installed onto enough computers. Again, as far as the end-use is concerned, there’s usually hardly any actual benefit to be had from a hijacking app the likes of Cl96rwprue.com. Not only that but there might actually be certain security risks involved that you need to take into consideration in case a browser hijacker app is currently inside your PC. For example, all the ads you see on your screen while browsing are potential security hazards because you cannot be sure where you might get redirected to if you click on them. If you are unlucky, you can easily land on some nasty and malicious webpage that is used for malware distribution of threats such as Spyware, Ransomware, Worms, Rootkits, Trojan Horses and so on. Do not click on any hijacker-generated ads and also do not try to close them manually as this might also redirect you to some unknown and potentially unsafe page. Instead, follow our instructions below and use them (or the suggested removal tool) for successfully and effectively removing the hijacker app without risking your computer’s safety.
Ways you could land a hijacker
The creators of apps that belong to the hijacker category (or any similar software class) typically use stealthy and sneaky methods for spreading their products since, understandably, not many users would willingly install a hijacker app on their computer. Some popular techniques that might be used for hijacker distribution are spam e-mails with misleading attachments that carry the unwanted software, fake and deceitful online offers, requests and ads that actually serve as download links for the hijacker as well as different low-quality downloads that you can get from questionable sites or sites with low-reputation. Bundling the hijacker to another program is also a common technique used for spreading such unwanted software. Once bundled with some other program’s installer, the hijacker becomes an optional app install of the installation package and if you don’t want to have it installed alongside the main program, you’d have to manually opt-out of it from within the setup menu. Usually, there will be an Advanced/Custom installation option where there will be settings that allow you to leave out any “bonus” content so make sure that you use that option when about to install any new program that might have unwanted software apps added to it.
