The Conf Search virus have control over you Chrome browser

Have you been lately getting bothered by dozens of pop-up notifications, ads, or banners that can’t be removed from your browser’s screen? Or have you recently noticed that the homepage and the search engine of your Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari browser has been replaced with another one that cannot be uninstalled no matter what you try? If that’s the case, you’ve most likely downloaded a browser hijacker called Conf Search on your system and are now experiencing its shower of potentially unwanted ads, automatic page-redirects, and unwelcome browser modifications.

We know how irritating this software could be and that’s why we are not surprised that there are people like you who want to remove it and save themselves from the ads. And if you stay on this page, you are not going to regret it because you will learn how to effectively uninstall the browser hijacker that causes you disturbance, as well as some very useful tips on how to keep such programs away from your computer in the future.

Why is Conf Search spamming you with ads?

Every day the online advertising industry spreads millions of ads. To be seen by as many web users as possible, however, such advertisements are typically displayed with the help of programs known as browser hijackers. The browser hijackers, in general, are pieces of software, specifically developed to generate different pop-ups, banners, redirect links, notifications, and promotional messages on user screens during their regular web browsing sessions. These programs also generate Pay-Per-Click revenue for their owners every time someone clicks on the displayed ads or gets redirected to the advertised pages.

In order to be effective advertising tools, apps like Conf Search and Poshukach typically install some new components inside the main web browser (a new homepage, a new search engine, or some redirect buttons) which support its ad-generating activity. In this way, they typically take control over the web content the hijacked browser generates and ensure that more sponsored ads appear on the screen during the user online sessions. However, most users don]t want this activity in their browsers and associate it with irritation and browsing disturbance. That’s why they seek reliable methods to remove programs like Conf Search and uninstall their imposed changes.

Can a browser hijacker pose a security risk?

If we have to compare a browser hijacker with, say, a Trojan Horse or a Ransomware virus, the hijacker software is far less dangerous than those actual malware threats. So, even if you have a hijacker such as Conf Search on your computer, it won’t steal sensitive information from you like a Trojan Horse or encrypt your digital files like a Ransomware. Nonetheless, it can be a source of irritation, particularly if one’s browsing activity is continuously getting interrupted by unwanted messages that cannot be removed or stopped.

So, in case you decide that Conf Search is causing disturbance or if it is constantly redirecting you to websites that you don’t want to visit, you can continue with the removal guide below and uninstall this program. In the event that you are not able to complete the manual guidelines, the professional removal tool attached to them will help you deal with the browser hijacker in just a few minutes.
