We have also included a removal guide, which aims to help you detect and remove the nasty Ransomware from your system. So take the time to read the information below as it may turn out to be very helpful.

Cryptobyte Virus – Ransomware with extremely harmful encryption

The Ransomware threats are one of the fastest developing malware types in the world. They come out with new and advanced versions almost every day, and one of the latest dreadful representatives of this malware family is Cryptobyte Virus. This is a file-encrypting threat, which has been developed with one sole purpose – to lock all the files, found on your computer, make them inaccessible to you thanks to its secret encryption and then ruthlessly blackmail you to pay ransom in order to access your files again. A very simple and tricky criminal scheme is used here, and the reason for it being so widespread and successful is that it targets the most precious thing – the users’ data. The victims of the Ransomware, in most of the cases, desperately need their data, and would do almost anything, including paying a huge amount of money in ransom, to get it back. The hackers, who create such threats, take advantage of that, and they use Ransomware infections like Cryptobyte Virus to make themselves rich on the back of the users.

But how exactly does the infection happen?

When we speak about online threats, we can hardly think of something more malicious and trickier than a threat like Cryptobyte Virus. This new version of Ransomware comes with some very sophisticated infection techniques. Its typical distribution methods include spam emails, malicious attachments, misleading links, fake ads, torrents or different installers. Trojan horse infections are also a very effective way for Cryptobyte Virus to sneak inside your system since they create enough vulnerabilities for the Ransomware to easily attack you. No matter where you’ve caught the infection, however, the moment this malware is inside your PC, it will immediately start encrypting all of your most frequently used files. The worst thing is that you may not even notice it until a shocking ransom note appears on your screen. From there on, it will be too late for you to prevent anything and you will have to face the demands of the anonymous hackers and their threats and deadlines.

Can you remove the Ransomware and save your files?

Honestly, we don’t want to give you high hopes here. If you’ve been infected with Cryptobyte Virus, you are obviously facing one of the most dangerous malware types available on the web. Unfortunately, due to its sophisticated nature, the consequences of such a dreadful Ransomware infection may not be fully reversible. That’s why, you cannot expect miracles and the best you could do is to try different methods to somehow minimize the malicious effects on your system, and most importantly, on your encrypted files.

If you follow it closely, the removal guide that we have prepared below may help you detect and remove Cryptobyte Virus from your PC. This way, you will save your system from a highly compromising infection. However, removing the Ransomware may not automatically bring your files back to normal. To restore some of them, you can try the file restoration instructions we have included or you can use your own backups from an external drive or a cloud. This may help you recover from the data loss to some extent, so you can give it a try. If you think about paying the ransom, however, think twice. Doing that will put your money at a great risk, without even having a guarantee that you will really save your files. The hackers will most probably fade away once they get the ransom payment and you will be left with no money and your data encrypted forever. So, don’t make these unscrupulous criminals rich by wasting your money. Be realistic and try the removal guide below, or seek a professional’s help.
