The contemporary nightmare CryptXXX v3.0 Ransomware and its typical features

In case you are interested in the following article, your system is likely to have been infected with CryptXXX v3.0 Ransomware . We are going to explain what this malware really is about, how it performs its malicious activities and why it is described as one of the most dangerous virus manifestations a computer system can face at the moment.  Below you will find details about this type of software in general. What’s more, we are going to give you some additional information about how to get rid of Ransomware as a whole and CryptXXX v3.0 Ransomware in particular.

What is Ransomware?

CryptXXX v3.0 Ransomware has been classified as Ransomware. Ransomware is the common name used for the type of a malicious program that was developed in the late 90s in Russia but has since then quickly become worldwide popular. At the present moment CryptXXX v3.0 Ransomware and Ransomware in general are among the most disturbing threats a system might ever have to deal with.

You may have already concluded from the name- Ransomware is programmed to kidnap particular files from your system and demand a ransom in order to give you back the control over your encrypted data. Typically, the way it functions is the following- this virus infiltrates your computer without your consent and knowledge. As soon as it has found a way IN your system, Ransomware begins to encrypt your files one by one. Immediately after it has done that, a full-screen message is generated asking you to pay a certain amount of money for the Encryption Key. The key consists of two parts- private and public. It is necessary that you have both of them to regain the access to your encoded data.

How does CryptXXX v3.0 Ransomware function?

The usual way CryptXXX v3.0 Ransomware works is the following- what it first does is to enter your computer using a Trojan horse, and most typically- through an email that contains it. (Be careful and don’t forget to deal with the Trojan horse as soon as you have managed to get rid of CryptXXX v3.0 Ransomware .)

What this virus then does is to start scanning your hard and flash drives in order to determine which files you most commonly use. After CryptXXX v3.0 Ransomware has completed that step, it makes a list of all such files and begins to lock them up.  That’s how your most often used files end up encrypted. It’s worth mentioning that the encryption process generally uses up a good amount of time and RAM. That’s exactly when it becomes possible to notice the threat in your Task Manager.  This is would be the program with an unrecognizable name that consumes the biggest amount of memory. Nonetheless, in most of the cases, such infections get spotted only after it has become too late and the ransom message has already been displayed.

The total number of machines infected with CryptXXX v3.0 Ransomware is constantly growing. There has also emerged another trick the hackers often use. After the alert notification about the ransom has been displayed, another one comes. It is usually an advertisement of an anti-Ransomware software. However, do not purchase or download anything like that- such “helpful” programs only make the state of your system worse.

Is it a good idea to pay the ransom or not?

Usually the victimized users tend to ask exactly this question- whether they should or should not complete the payment to the hackers. In fact, there is no correct answer to this question. The decision is totally up to the individual victim. Nevertheless, what we can advise you is NOT to trust such cyber criminals as the developers of this Ransomware. Their honesty is more than questionable and you have no guarantee that they will stick to their promise and give you back the access to your files. Moreover, paying off the ransom only motivates the hackers to proceed with their illegal and dishonest activities. Make sure that you do your best and consult an expert before making a decision to surrender to the criminals’ demands.

The guide below has been prepared to show you the basic steps for the CryptXXX v3.0 Ransomware removal.
