Our security software specialists have decided to take a closer look at it and provide all of you with some more information about the nature of this software product. Unfortunately, the results are not very satisfying, because it appears that DreamCompress shares the typical behavioral traits of adware and may also be categorized as a potentially unwanted application. In the next lines, you will find more details about its most common activities as well as a free removal guide, in case you want to uninstall it from your Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or any other browser and stop it from loading your screen with nagging ads, pop-ups, banners and blinking boxes.
What is DreamCompress?
This is a piece of ad-generating software (aka adware), that usually claims to provide its users with certain functionality, which is supposed to enhance their web browsing experience. Some users may willingly download it from the web via a free download link, an ad from a web page, a torrent or spam messages. However, it seems that even if you did not intend to download this program to your computer, it may appear on it without your approval. This is because it is also spread through a tricky marketing strategy called “bundling”. Computer security specialists have found out that DreamCompress “Virus” and other similar software is commonly distributed alongside other free software, such as free download programs, PDF readers, archives, media players, automatic installers, email attachments and more.
Such software packages are usually promoted on popular websites for freeware or shareware where thousands of people download them on a daily basis. If you want to check whether DreamCompress “Virus” is bundled inside a given installer, you should carefully monitor each installation step of the software you want to install, because this tool is revealed in a very misleading way. In most of the cases, you won’t see it unless you click the “Advanced/ Custom” installation options in the setup.

Why is DreamCompress a potentially unwanted program?
Adware can integrate with most popular browsers including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Internet Explorer. Once it gets into the computer, it may try to hijack all web browsers and start launching marketing campaigns that are used to generate advertising revenue. This is typical behavior of an adware piece of software, which can generate tons of ads that can appear all over your monitor in the form of text links, ads, banners, pop-ups, and more.
Even though such activity is generally not seen as malicious and does not aim to cause harm to your system, be careful with these commercial suggestions. In a way, the adware may be dubious because it is meant to make you visit certain web pages that, unfortunately, may be both unreliable and unsafe. For this reason, DreamCompress can be seen as a potentially unwanted program. If you want to avoid being redirected to some shady ads and sites (which may potentially hide viruses, Trojans, Ransomware and other nasty threats) it is advisable to avoid the content, provided by this program or directly remove its ads by uninstalling it. If you’ve already seen misleading ads, have been redirected, or your browser’s performance has slowed down, it’s best to start a full scan of the system with a trusted anti-malware program or follow the instructions in the removal guide below.
How to safely remove DreamCompress?
Removing DreamCompress is not as complicated as the elimination of a virus or some other type of malware such as Trojan-Ransomware based infections. Generally, every user with a bit of computer understanding can do it on its own as long as they follow some basic instructions. You can get rid of this annoying adware using the manual removal manual guide below or the auto-removal option. This is recommended as soon as you notice the adware’s presence inside your computer. Otherwise, you may experience different types of redirects, slowdowns of your computer, ads, system lags, and other similar issues. If your time is valuable and you want to make sure that any suspicious component of this program is completely deleted, you can scan your system with the professional removal tool. It will check your entire system and eliminate all the related adware scripts within a few clicks.
