.Enc File Encryption (Crypt0l0cker Virus) is…
This malicious program is in fact regarded as a member of the family of the most dangerous type of malware – Ransomware. .Enc File Encryption (Crypt0l0cker Virus) and its relatives are particularly nasty because they not only cause damage to your files, but they blackmail you for money as well. Actually, this is how the typical Ransomware product works – firstly, it finds your favorite data. Secondly, it encodes it and last but not least, it extorts money from you with often false promises to give you back the access to your blocked files. You can catch this ominous virus via many means. However, the most likely sources of Ransomware are either text documents or software bundles. Usually the text or PDF documents are included in contaminated emails, which can come both from your Inbox and your Spam folder.
Some more details about the nature of Ransomware
One of the most important aspects of Ransomware is that it almost never comes alone. Ransomware is most times accompanied by another malicious program – a Trojan horse. This combination of viruses is capable of causing so much damage that even some experts find it difficult to remove it safely once and for all. The Trojan in the package serves as transport – it strives to find a weak spot in your system or any installed program and to sneak .Enc File Encryption (Crypt0l0cker Virus) in. Once the Ransomware is inside your PC, it begins with its operation – it checks the hard and flash drives for the files you tend to visit and makes a list with all of them. After that, every single piece of data from that list gets locked up with a double encryption key. The public component of the key is given to you freely; but you still need to pay for the second part – the private one. Then suddenly you find a ransom-requesting notification on your monitor, which may even include a deadline or some special payment requirements. That’s when you find out that something really terrible has happened to your system.
Paying the demanded amount of money will restore your access to your files, won’t it?
