The Express-news.me virus
There are many types of unwanted apps that, while not necessarily harmful to the system, can still make your computer less optimized and even somewhat more difficult to use. Such are, for example, the browser hijackers. A browser hijacker is a piece of software that operates from inside popular browsing programs like Firefox and Chrome and its main goal is to modify the browser in order to show different ads in it and to redirect the user to some specific sites with the goal to improve their view counts. While this may sound rather innocent, once you start seeing the changes in the homepage, the toolbar, or the search engine of your main browser, and once the ads and the page-redirects start swarming your screen you are likely going to want to uninstall the obtrusive app. Uninstalling a hijacker, however, might be quite a tricky task because most applications of this type lack the regular uninstallation options that normal programs and apps have. You are likely to not find an actual uninstallation executable for a hijacker program, and you will probably not see an entry for it in the Control Panel’s uninstallation list or in the extensions’ menu in the browser. And in the rare cases you do, using any of these to uninstall the unwanted app may prove to be futile as most hijackers install extra elements in the system that allow them to come back even after having been uninstalled. This difficult uninstallation combined with the rather aggressive advertising techniques used by most such apps and their overall lack of useful functions is what leads many users to refer to them as viruses.
The Express News Me Virus
The Express News Me Virus, for example, is a hijacker app you may oftentimes see getting referred to as a virus. The Express News Me virus isn’t really a harmful program in the same way as Trojans and Ransomware viruses are.
It is more of an unwanted software that annoys the users rather than an actual system hazard. Despite that, however, hijackers like Express News Me and Poshukach could potentially sometimes get you into trouble. Their tendency to spam you with all kinds of obscure ads and to automatically redirect you to web addresses you did not intend to visit could be regarded as dangerous behavior because this could potentially land you on phishing sites, sites that try to sell you fake software, or even sites that have Trojans, Spyware, and Ransomware uploaded to them. With this in mind, it really is the better option to stay away from any content that Express News Me may show on your screen, but the problem is that this may be quite difficult if the app is active in your browser. This is why we wish to help you uninstall Express News Me from your computer and to do that we will now present you with a removal guide that you can follow in order to remove this hijacker.
