This page aims to help you remove FrozrLock Ransomware for free. Our instructions also cover how any FrozrLock file can be recovered.

The programs based on Ransomware are all awfully dangerous. So is FrozrLock – the exact product you are interested in. It functions in the following way: by encrypting the files it has determined as the most commonly used, one after the other, and then asking you to pay a “ransom” in exchange for the opportunity to access this blocked data again. Why and in what way exactly this Ransomware version does all these evil activities you are going to find out in the next paragraphs.

The threat is real: FrozrLock is an incredibly harmful virus

Indeed, all Ransomware versions are very disturbing as they represent one of the largest and the fastest growing in number computing-related threats. Today we can distinguish over 50 different Ransomware clusters. There are many different types of this malware. These programs could be screen-locking, not actually encoding any data, just locking your screen, but still requiring the payment of a ransom for setting it free. Other Ransomware versions are the mobile-based one, as well as the server-targeting one. They might lock up the interface of your smartphone; or hijack an entire server, and again – require that you send your money in return for whatever such a virus has encrypted. FrozrLock belongs to the group of the most awful encryption-causing versions of Ransomware, as it blocks files for real, and after that renders your system contaminated, and you – having to pay ransom in order to decrypt the blocked data.

What about the infection process?

Usually, the process of infecting begins with catching this virus from one of its possible sources. What is particularly frightening about FrozrLock is that this virus may come along with a Trojan horse virus. The Trojan may be burdened with the responsibility of finding a way inside your PC. Such a way is normally any vulnerable spot you have on your device. For example, the lack of an anti-virus program. As soon as these two viruses get inside your system, FrozrLock can start looking for the files you have accessed the most, and the Trojan may hide somewhere, until it continues with completing its own plan.

After the Ransomware defines the files you have used most commonly, that is when the actual encryption process starts. Generally, such a process is quite time- and resources-consuming. Such a contamination may be noticed, and in case you do sense such danger, you should disconnect your PC from all the networks it is connected to, and turn it off  in order to prevent the virus from causing further damage to both your system and you personally. If you don’t notice the infection process, which is most often the case, then a screen notification is sent to you in order to inform you about the encryption and the required ransom, the stated deadline and so on.

Is paying the ransom the only choice for you to make?

Actually, doing so is highly undesirable as it may not be helpful at all. Firstly, it may serve as motivation for the cyber criminals to pursue even more users and to cause even more infections. Second of all, it might never restore your control over the encrypted files because the hackers might have never intended to do so. These dishonest people could just be after the payment and never give you the decryption codes. What we recommend is to try to solve this issue no matter what it takes, alone, without agreeing with the demands of the people, harassing you, and becoming their accomplice. A probable solution to your FrozrLock problem could be our Removal Guide below, because it has been created to serve exactly the purpose of removing such programs. Once more, we remind you it can be used to successfully uninstall the virus, but it might not be able to give you the access to your files back. You might need some additional professional help.

What really works in case of a Ransomware-caused infection:

The only 100% safe solution to the issues caused by FrozrLock is prevention. By being more careful and following some simple prevention advice, you will successfully avoid this terrifying threat in the future.

  • Just be careful with the places where FrozrLock and its fellow Trojans may be coming from. Such are any email attachments, and the emails, both inside your Spam or your Inbox Folders. Bear in mind that Ransomware may be hiding inside .exe files, archives, images and even text documents.
  • Always check your system for any ongoing contamination processes. This means having the best anti-malware tool, keeping it updated and using it on a regular basis.
  • Stay intelligent. Avoid visiting any web page, or downloading any program that seems suspicious. Select everything that you put into your PC with extra care.
