If you want to see if that helps, you might try removing the Go-go.tech extensions from your browser using the following easy steps:
- Navigate to the hijacked browser’s main menu by clicking on the hijacked browser’s main menu button (most commonly found top right).
- From the list of options, select Morel Tools (or Add-ons).
- Then, look for a tab labeled Extensions (it should normally be on the left on most browsers).
- Select the Extensions tab and search for extensions that appear to be associated with Go go Tech or that were added without your consent.

When the machine is in Safe Mode, simultaneously press CTRL + SHIFT + ESC. The Task Manager will appear on the screen immediately. Then, once inside, click the “Processes” Tab (on Windows 8 and Windows 10, the “Details” Tab) and check for processes that are suspicious and may be connected to Go go.tech and its annoying ad-generating and page-redirecting activity.
Bear in mind, however, that it is not always required for the hijacker’s processes to share the same name. That is why you should be on the lookout for additional processes with strange names or unusually high RAM and CPU utilization. Additionally, you can right-click on a suspected process and select the Open File Location option. This will open the directory containing the files associated with that process.
Scan the files associated with that process with a reputable online virus scanner to determine if they contain any malware or potentially unwanted code. The free online virus scanner given below will immediately identify any signs of Go-go.tech.

Press the Start and R keys together once more to bring up a new Run window. Paste the following line into the Run window and click OK:

This should open the “hosts” file on the screen. Look for the term “Localhost” in the file and note the IP addresses at the bottom. Keep track of any unusual IP addresses that appear under “Localhost,” such as those in the example image below. You cannot declare your system to be clean until you have scanned the registry for Go-go.tech-related entries. This is precisely what you will do in this step.

The critical step is to delete any traces of Go go Tech from the system locations specified above on your computer. This, however, may not be sufficient to completely remove the browser hijacker from your machine. Additionally, you should examine all the web browsers installed on your computer and delete any changes done without your permission.
To begin, navigate to the browser’s shortcut icon and right-click it to access the quick menu. Following that, click on Properties.
Select the Shortcut tab under Properties and then, once there, locate the Target box and delete everything after.exe. Your changes will be saved when you click the OK button.
How to remove Go go Tech from Chrome
To completely remove all traces of Go go Tech from Chrome, exit the browser and manually navigate to the following location on your machine, substituting the User Name in the path with your own.
