Welcome to our page!  We are glad that you have chosen it out of the many articles on “Hard Drive Will Be Deleted” on the Internet.  You are here because you apparently have had some issues. For instance, the home page of your browser might have been substituted with a new one. Or maybe every time you try to load a website in your browser, it redirects you to some strange and possibly suspicious web pages. To top it all, you may be showered with various online advertisements every time you open your browser, no matter whether you use Firefox, Chrome, Opera or Explorer. The root of your recent annoyance is called “Hard Drive Will Be Deleted” . Further below you will find the most important information about that program as well as some details on how to safely and quickly remove it from your PC. Hopefully, you will find our article useful and helpful.

Hard Drive Will Be Deleted “Virus” – nature and characteristics

First of all, we must claim that this is a program that is relatively harmless in nature. It is not a malicious software product. Some aspects of its behavior may raise concerns; however, it is just identified as a marketing tool. Thus, we can say that everything “Hard Drive Will Be Deleted” and the other software like it does is legal. If we have to classify this specific program, it is a software product from the group of browser hijackers. Don’t panic now, its name is probably the most disturbing characteristic of this type of software. Browser hijackers are programs that usually become incorporated into your browser and change its usual homepage, display a great number of ads or redirect you to different addresses on the web. This is exactly what is going on with your computer right now. Nothing more serious or dangerous could be expected from “Hard Drive Will Be Deleted” .

Despite that, many experts may identify this group of programs (browser hijackers) as potentially unwanted ones because of the way they get spread. Typically, there could be many options when it comes to distribution. The ways to distribute hijackers may vary from infected web pages and torrents with shareware to spam letters or emails from suspicious senders. In spite of that, there is one particular method most programmers use to spread them and it’s the infamous software bundling. Basically, this is a practice that allows developers to create mixtures of their software and other kinds of software like Adware and browser hijackers. As you may already know, it is all about the potential profits that may come from the displayed ads and the promoted webpages that “Hard Drive Will Be Deleted” might redirect you to or show you. Vendors do their best to advertise their products in all possible ways and banners, pop-ups and boxes are just another technique, so they pay the developers to include advertisement-generating software into their bundles. Such software as browser hijackers and Adware then works towards showing as many ads as possible so the chance that you click on any of them or like any of the promoted products gets bigger.

What to be careful about

The following advice may save you not only from “Hard Drive Will Be Deleted” and other Adware and hijacker products, but also from many versions of viruses, like Ransomware. It is simple yet very important. It’s not completely true that “Hard Drive Will Be Deleted” and other similar programs might become incorporated into your machine only by downloading the bundle that includes them. The reality is slightly different. In fact, they become installed on your PC when you let them in. If you are looking for a way to still download and use the free original software from the bundles but to avoid the included browser hijackers, the secret is in the way to install those programs.

Always, we really mean it, always try to go with the options marked as Customized (or Custom) or Advanced. They will give you the opportunity to opt out of what is not necessary to you from the particular bundle. Learn to avoid the other installation features such as Default or Quick. One more important aspect of “Hard Drive Will Be Deleted” you should be aware of is that this program could actually be capable of researching your browsing history. That’s why you shouldn’t be surprised if you see only ads that are similar to your most often or most recent surfing requests. Also, there might be a slight chance that you could be redirected to a potentially dangerous, virus-containing place on the web by some of the ads, however, it is still highly unlikely.
