This page aims to help you remove Hicpm10.com “Virus” . Our removal instructions work for Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer, as well as every version of Windows.

Is Hicpm10.com a virus?

If you’ve recently been invaded by a program called Hicpm10.com, you might have faced some quite unpleasant modifications made to your browser. This program might have changed your default homepage or search engine and might have installed some toolbars or other components, which are new to you and you might not really want them there. Your Chrome, Firefox or Internet Explorer might have started to redirect you to various websites, which may not be relevant to your searches and you might have recently been forced to deal with quite a lot of ads, pop-ups and banners. This is a quite unpleasant activity, which has probably made you question the intentions of Hicpm10.com and its effects on your computer. Even if you have thought that Hicpm10.com is a virus, however, you’re wrong. This program is NOT a dangerous virus but rather a relatively harmless browser hijacker. Judging by the recent reports that our “How to remove” team has received though, it seems that a relatively large number of computer users do not like the changes that this browser-redirecting software has imposed to their browsers and are currently looking for instructions on how to remove them. That’s why, in the next lines, we have decided to explain what  the right way to detect and uninstall this browser hijacker is and how you can bring your regular browser settings back.

First, let’s explain what Hicpm10.com exactly is and how it operates.

Hicpm10.com is a browser component that typically installs a browser toolbar with a number of features, including a search engine, as well as buttons providing easy access to popular social networks and useful websites. The users may edit these buttons and add or remove shortcuts as per their convenience, which may initially look as a useful function. The question is why do so many people want to remove Hicpm10.com? We’ve analyzed the user feedback on this browser hijacker and we have found that many users have installed it unknowingly, without having given their consent. Moreover, many of people complain that they experience difficulty with their normal browsing due to the imposed new changes and are simply not happy with the redirects and the modified search results. If you are one of these users, and you want to remove Hicpm10.com “Virus” along with all of its components, you can uninstall it using the instructions we have provided in the Removal Guide below.

How serious could Hicpm10.com “Virus” affect your system?

Generally, as we’ve just said in the first paragraph, Hicpm10.com is not considered to be a virus and, therefore, it cannot be expected to cause problems in your system. After the installation of the program on your computer, however, you may notice that your browser behaves strangely and that you constantly see annoying pop-up ads or banners on your screen, which are aggressive and won’t go away unless you click on them. This is a common disturbance, caused by the attempts of the hijacker to expose you to sponsored content which it’s trying to promote. If you notice that the hijacker is redirecting you to suspicious sites, when you try to access totally different pages, however, it is best to consider uninstalling it by using trusted security software such as the professional Hicpm10.com removal tool. The redirecting activity of the hijacker is usually considered to be potentially dangerous as it may unknowingly expose you to illegal or insecure websites, which could be used as transmitters of Ransomware, Trojans and other computer threats.

How did Hicpm10.com hijack your computer without your permission?

If Hicpm10.com has been added to your browser, but you do not remember doing it, it may have been installed alongside some other program you’ve recently installed on your computer. This software distribution technique is called “bundling” and many potentially unwanted programs are distributed in this way. To prevent the installation of unwanted programs or the insertion of unwanted browser add-ons to your browser, we advise you to use Detailed or Manual installation option when you install new software on your computer. These options usually reveal a list of recommended downloads that usually get installed by default with the selected program unless you manually disable them. Fortunately, all you need to do to prevent them is to simply uncheck their checkmarks from the menu.

How do I remove Hicpm10.com from my browser?

Fortunately, since Hicpm10.com is not a serious computer threat, it can be easily uninstalled from your PC with the help of the removal instructions provided below. However, if you suspect that your computer could be infected with some other potentially unwanted programs, we recommend scanning it with the professional Hicpm10.com removal tool from the banners on this page. It can automatically remove not only Hicpm10.com but even threats such as Trojans or Ransomware, and clean your PC without any risk.
