InitialSite123 Virus is a program of the Browser Hijacker category that is known to take over the user’s browser and introduce various unpleasant changes to it. Usually, those applications work for the majority of Windows browsers, which means that it does not matter what browser you are using – InitialSite123 Virus will likely apply the same to everything from Chrome and Firefox to Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge. Some typical changes introduced to one’s browser by a Browser Hijacker are the replacement of the default search engine and/or of the previous homepage. In addition to that, many programs of this category have the unpleasant ability to trigger browser redirects to various sites, some of which might have shady and potentially hazardous contents.Normally, software the likes of InitialSite123 Virus is considered to be unwanted and most users want to uninstall the unpleasant program as soon as they realize that they have it on their computer. One thing to keep in mind about Hijackers is that they oftentimes require more than a simple uninstall in order to be removed. For that reason, we have made sure to provide our readers with a number of removal methods that we have combined in a detailed guide manual that you can find in this article. Therefore, if you have the intrusive Browser Hijacker on your PC and are currently trying to have it eliminated so that it doesn’t bother you any more, feel free to visit our removal guide and use to resolve your problem.

What is the purpose of InitialSite123 Virus?

The idea behind most Browser Hijackers is actually quite simple. They are software tools primarily used for online marketing. They earn money for their creators by employing various aggressive advertising techniques. Sometimes, a Hijacker element might be implemented within another, seemingly helpful and functional program, which would increase the chances of the Hijacker getting installed on the user’s PC. In fact, at times a user might actually be willing to put up with the unpleasant changes introduced by the unwanted software just so that they could benefit from the function that it provides. However, this is more of an exception. Most Browser Hijackers are way too intrusive while at the same time offer very limited functionality that certainly cannot make up for the many unpleasant traits of the program in question. In addition to all that, there’s also the chance that a program of the Hijacker type could also make the PC more vulnerable to various Internet hazards. This is yet another very important reason why users are normally advised to see to the timely removal of any programs that might contain Hijacker traits.

How can InitialSite123 Virus expose your computer to danger?

Browser Hijackers are not PC viruses. In fact, as we already mentioned, in many instances a Browser Hijacker might actually posses some form of helpful function. However, even though InitialSite123 Virus isn’t malicious Ransomware or Trojan horse, it might still represent a potential security risk. The changes that Hijackers introduce to your browser and internet settings can sometimes lead to the exposure of the PC system to various online hazards. For instance, some Hijackers are known to also modify the Registry of the computer, which can make the whole system more vulnerable to hacker attacks. In addition to that, as was mentioned earlier, InitialSite123 Virus might also try to redirect you to random websites, some of which might be harmful. If that’s not enough, it is also possible that a Browser Hijacker might attempt to display fake warnings or web offers on your browser screen, which are trying to sell you some obscure software product or trick you into downloading even more undesirable programs. Therefore, if you don’t want to risk getting your PC infected by some noxious Trojan horse or Ransomware virus, we advise you to get rid of any Hijacker programs that might currently be on your computer.

Browser Hijacker installation

Obviously, most users would not willingly install a Hijacker on their machine. However, the developers of these programs have come up with a variety of different methods to distribute their programs and ensure that they get installed on as many computers as possible. Some of the most effective and popular methods for spreading this type of unwanted software include the use of spam e-mails or spam Skype/Facebook messages as well as distributing the Hijacker via misleading online adverts, offers and even warnings. One distribution technique that many users tend to fall for is what is known as file-bundling, where the unwanted software is combined with another program. A user who is not vigilant enough would likely fail to notice that there’s an application bundled with the program that they are trying to install and will not uncheck the added software so as to leave it out. For that reason, we strongly advise you to always double check the setup menus of programs you want to install on your PC and if you notice that anything’s been added to them that seems like a potential Hijacker, do not hesitate to remove it from the installation.
