Idlesurvey.com Pop-up Ads Scam

Why do Idlesurvey.com Pop-up ads appear?

If one fine day you notice that your default browser has suddenly become unrecognizable, the most probable reason for that could be that a browser hijacker like Idlesurvey.com Pop-up has integrated with it. Browser hijackers are a special type of software that has the ability to impose certain changes to the users’ browsers, modify their searches, redirect their browsing queries and display tons of nagging pop-ups, ads, and banners on the users’ screen with one sole aim to advertise. Usually, the developers of such software earn form the clicks on the displayed commercials via Pay-Per-Click or receive some revenue by redirecting users to certain sites and bringing them traffic. According to the law, this is a legitimate way of online advertising, which does not cause serious damage to the users. However, many people feel irritated because their normal browsing may get seriously hindered. Most of the time, the browser hijacker loads their browser with commercial offers, software updates, suggestions to participate in various online surveys, and so on. Regardless of the kind of ad that might pop up, our “How to remove” team would advise you that it’s better to ignore it. The reason is, some of the pages you may land on may not be trusted and may potentially hide some serious threats such as Trojans, Ransomware, and other viruses. That’s why it is better to avoid the content generated by the browser hijacker if you want to protect your computer from hazardous redirects. You never know when and how it may unknowingly expose you to dangerous online content.

But have you noticed how appealing some of the ads look? The reason for this is that they are based on the users’ interest, browsing history, downloads, search queries, and similar information. This information is considered non-personal, so the potentially unwanted program usually collects it legally. However, information such as your search queries may also contain some personal information, and we are certain that you would not want to reveal it to an unreliable ad-generating program and any related parties. For this reason, we would encourage you to uninstall Idlesurvey.com Pop-up by using the instructions in the removal guide below.

How to avoid Idlesurvey.com Pop-up and similar browser hijackers in the future?

Not surprisingly, users constantly report adware, browser-hijackers and other ad-generating and potentially unwanted programs on a daily basis. This is because this type of software is usually distributed along with some free and attractive programs such as download managers, PDF file makers, media players, and other apps that are downloaded by thousands of users daily. And more than the distribution, the way the users install such software “bundles” matters the most. As we all know, people usually choose Quick Installation Settings and are often in a hurry to complete the process by hitting the ‘next’ button. Still, they rarely read the long rows of check boxes and unconsciously agree to install additional components that often include free software such as Idlesurvey.com Pop-up. As a result, they make the browser hijacker part of their system and start to experience annoying ads, redirects to suspicious or dangerous web pages, browser unresponsiveness, sluggishness of the system, and so on.

You probably already get an idea of what you need to do to avoid computer infections such as Idlesurvey.com Pop-up (or even much more serious threats like Ransomware, Trojans and other viruses). Basically, you have to select the Advanced or Custom Settings when installing free software, carefully read all information about the program you want to install and remove the bookmarks that are placed on “optional components” such as add-ons, plug-ins, toolbars, and extensions.

Instructions for uninstalling Idlesurvey.com Pop-up and all of its components in a safe manner:

The easiest way to deal with a browser hijacker and its annoyance is to remove it completely from your PC. This if not that difficult but still, you need to pay attention to certain things in order to detect the right files to remove. To avoid deleting necessary system components and to repair your computer completely, you either need to perform a full system scan with reliable software or follow the Idlesurvey.com Pop-up manual removal instructions given below. If you still see ads after completing all the steps, then we recommend that you choose the automatic removal method.
