Jackyhillty.net is a browser hijacker program capable of detecting and generating different types of commercial messages in virtually any web browser, including stable and secure browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, Edge, etc.

The Jackyhillty.net Virus will interfere with your browser.

As soon as it becomes an integral part of your system (usually through a bundle of free software or a carelessly performed software update), Jackyhillty.net can start to spam your screen with pay-per-click advertisements, pop-up notifications, colorful banners and different page redirect links and messages. To facilitate its activity, the intrusive program may even substitute the homepage address with a different URL, install a new search engine or toolbar of its own and place some buttons that automatically redirect to specific websites. These changes ensure that any time a new browsing session is started, you will be automatically guided to different sites where you can purchase or install additional plug-ins, some browser extensions, other related software, as well as different products or services.

If you don’t want your surfing to be interrupted by a new search engine or an unfamiliar homepage and you seek how to eliminate these potentially unwanted modifications, it is best to uninstall their source and remove all relevant components that can cause page redirects and ad-generation.

In case you don’t know how to do that, you can either search your device with an up-to-date removal tool like the one on this page or follow the instructions in the removal guide below. Keep in mind, though, that to reset your browser settings, you will have to delete the browser hijacker and its supporting components entirely. That’s why we advise you to use a qualified removal tool if you want to deal with the unwanted software faster and without taking unnecessary risks for the health of your OS. If you prefer the manual removal steps, we have to warn you that most browser hijackers can reinstall themselves in the default browser unless all their components are correctly removed. This is why you should carefully follow all the directions described in the guide to ensure that the uninstallation process goes smooth.

Jackyhillty.net on Firefox

The goal of Jackyhillty.net is to make you click on the web ads and the messages it displays because this is how this software generates income for its developers. The commercials that are promoted through apps like Jackyhillty.net are typically sponsored via pay-per-click or pay-per view remuneration models.

That’s why it is not surprising that the majority of the pop-up notifications, banners and offers that Jackyhillty.net places on your screen try to look very attractive and intriguing and try to prompt you to click on them by all means. Typically, you will notice that the ads appear on strategic places on the screen so that you cannot ignore or remove them. All of this is done with the idea to redirect the web users to other predefined websites, and pages that support specific goods and/or services.

Technically, this method of online promotion is not illegal, that’s why the browser hijacker is not seen as malware. Still, we do not advise you to easily trust and click on everything that this software shows on your screen because sometimes nasty threats (more specifically Ransomware and Trojans!) and various viruses can hide in the randomly displayed commercial messages and links and one wrong click can invite them into your system. For optimal protection it is best to uninstall the hijacker and use professional software that can keep such unwanted apps and actual viruses like the above-mentioned Ransomware, Trojans, Spyware and other malware away from your system.

We get asked this a lot, so we are putting it here: Removing parasite manually may take hours and damage your system in the process. We recommend downloading SpyHunter to see if it can detect parasite files for you.

Press CTRL + SHIFT + ESC at the same time and go to the Processes Tab (the “Details” Tab on Win 8 and 10). Try to determine which processes are dangerous.

Right click on each of them and select Open File Location. Then scan the files with our free online virus scanner:

Drag and Drop Files Here to Scan
Maximum file size: 128MB.

This scanner is free and will always remain free for our website's users. You can find its full-page version at: https://howtoremove.guide/online-virus-scanner/

After you open their folder, end the processes that are infected, then delete their folders.

Note: If you are sure something is part of the infection – delete it, even if the scanner doesn’t flag it. No anti-virus program can detect all infections.

Hold together the Start Key and R. Type appwiz.cpl –> OK.

You are now in the Control Panel. Look for suspicious entries. Uninstall it/them.

Type msconfig in the search field and hit enter. A window will pop-up:

To remove parasite on your own, you may have to meddle with system files and registries. If you were to do this, you need to be extremely careful, because you may damage your system.
