How harmful such software can be and how to safely uninstall it and remove all of its traces is what we are going to cover on this page. So, if Pipeschannels.com has made your browsing impossible, make sure you read the information that follows and use the instructions in the removal guide below.
What is Pipeschannels.com?
If some strange program called Pipeschannels.com has aggressively taken over your default browser recently, then probably you landed on this page because it has raised your concerns. You must be questioning yourself how this software got inside your PC and most importantly, could it be a virus? We prepared this article to give you the answers to these questions, so stay with us and let’s take a close look at what exactly you are facing. Generally, Pipeschannels.com is a piece of software, which tends to integrate with the users’ browsers and make them display various ads, pop-ups, banners, and tabs. It does that by installing an ad-generating component, which has the ability to insert a new toolbar, a new homepage or search engine and to redirect the users’ searches to specific sites or ads. Such behavior is commonly observed in a very popular category of programs, known as browser hijackers.
Browser hijackers are basically pieces of software that are used as advertising tools. They often get inside the users’ systems as part of a software bundle or some free installer, which the users install without using the setup customization. Their abilities to manipulate the users’ browsers and display ads are commonly employed by different vendors, marketers, and online advertisers, who want to aggressively promote their products and services directly on the users’ screen. The people, who end up with such software in their browser, however, may often have their web browsing disturbed by sudden page redirects, pop-ups, new tabs and intrusive banners. This may prevent them from using their browser normally and quickly cause them irritation, which could give them a good reason to have the browser hijacker uninstalled.

Pipeschannels.com may not be as dangerous as a virus, but here is what it could do:
According to leading security experts, Pipeschannels.com and other similar browser hijacking programs are not among the harmful computer threats. The lack of malicious scripts and destructive abilities significantly distinguishes them from typical viruses. A piece like Pipeschannels.com is generally considered to be harmless, compared to let’s say Ransomware or a Trojan horse infection and, in most of the cases, is incapable of corrupting your data or your system. There are some other potentially unwanted consequences, though, which may not be fatal for your system, but may still be irritating enough for you to have this software removed. Here are some of them:
- Your browser’s homepage or search engine may be replaced by some unfamiliar domain.
- The affected browser (Chrome, Firefox, IE, Edge, and others.) may become sluggish and unresponsive to your searches.
- Your search queries may get blocked and you may frequently get redirected to some unfamiliar web sites full of nagging ads, pop-ups, banners and blinking boxes.
- The excessive amount of ads, which get displayed on your screen, may use a fair share of your system’s resources and internet data.
- Traffic data about your recent online activity may be collected by the browser hijacker and transmitted to its owners for marketing purposes.
- An insecure link or misleading ad may sneak inside the stream of advertisements on your screen. If you click on it, you may get redirected to some insecure web locations where viruses and other threats like Ransomware, Trojans, and Spyware may be lurking.
