This page aims to help you remove Prize mediayou. Our removal instructions work for Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer, as well as every version of Windows.
Prize mediayou is a new browser hijacking application which can silently get installed in the system via software bundling or through some other similar method. Once inside, the application can make system changes and modify the settings of Chrome, Firefox, Explorer or any browser installed on the device. The main feature of this potentially unwanted application is that it usually sets a new search engine and/or a new homepage URL by default and starts a page redirecting services to different sites, ads, pop-ups and annoying banners. If you are questioning the legitimacy of Prize mediayou, we want to remind you that, as any other browser hijacker, this application is not a virus but a legitimate online advertising tool. Yet, the developers of the application may set it to impose some potentially unwanted modifications and activities, which may give you a good reason to have it removed. More about these activities you can read below so stay with us and learn how to uninstall Prize mediayou without risk for your system.
Prize mediayou may affect any browser and make it display hundreds of ads!
The so-called Prize mediayou “virus” tends to change browser settings and set a new homepage domain, default search engine, or a new toolbar on your default browsing app, usually without asking for your permission. In addition, this browser hijacker may modify some of the system settings and start unwanted redirects to completely inappropriate web pages. It may also begin to display many online ads, banners, pop-ups and other ad content all over your screen. Fortunately, this activity is not aimed at causing you harm but at increasing online traffic to certain domains and boosting their popularity. If the hijacker gets incorporated into the system, it will likely not affect anything else aside your browser and usually is not related to any criminal or destructive deeds. To your relief, unlike real viruses such as Ransomware or Trojans, for example, this software does not contain harmful scripts and is not expected to perform system attacks.

Still, you may not like it that Prize mediayou may be programmed to explore your browsing history, search queries, pages you frequently visit, ads you click, IP address and more and may try to use such info for its advertising campaigns. The information that the hijacker may gather is usually necessary for the implementation of behavioral marketing strategies or popular revenue gaining methods such as Pay-Per-Click or sponsored ads positioning. Oftentimes, the people who use the advertising software may use data from your online activity to share it with third parties or sell it to ad networks for profits. As a result, you may often notice that Prize mediayou may display different online ads based on the interests and searches you’ve recently made. In some cases, however, the hijacker may redirect you to insecure or questionable web content and this way indirectly increase the risk of exposing you to security threats or viruses the likes of Ransomware or Trojans. For these reasons, we would generally advise you to remove the browser hijacker from the system and prevent the collection of browsing data or potential close encounters with security hazards.
