The “Properties” Chrome Extension virus can install some questionable third-party applications

Our removal instructions work for Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer, as well as every version of Windows. This page aims to help you remove “Properties” Chrome Extension Pop-up Ad. The most common browsers that this application typically affects are Chrome, Firefox and Explorer as they are the most widely used ones. However, other browsers may also get hijacked by “Properties” Chrome Extension and may be forced to display various sponsored commercials, pop-ups, ads, colorful banners and promotional links during the regular web surfing of the user. The symptoms that can give the hijacker away typically include the installation of a new homepage, a search engine tool, a toolbar or some new buttons inside the menu of the main browsing app. These new elements typically tend to initiate automatic page-redirects to certain predefined URLs, third-party sites, different sales pages and aggressive pay-per-click ads. If you are facing such software for the first time, you may easily mistake it for some sort of a nasty computer virus or some strange type of malware like a Trojan Horse or a Ransomware. Don’t panic, though, because there is nothing wrong with your computer. The irritating browser changes and the unstoppable flow of advertisements can easily be removed once you uninstall their source. In fact, we advise you to do so because this way you will save yourself from potential browser sluggishness, unresponsiveness and crashes, which may be caused by the excessive amount of sponsored content which the unwanted software is trying to promote on your screen. Before you decide to follow the instructions in the removal guide below, however, we need to inform you that though indeed dealing with a browser hijacker is much easier than the removal of a stealthy infection the ranks of Trojans and Ransomware cryptoviruses, it is still trickier to get rid of a hijacker than it is to uninstall any regular program. That’s why do not get surprised if “Properties” Chrome Extension reinstalls on your browser again. If you have not removed it correctly, it can hijack any browser that you have on your system and that’s why switching to a new browser probably won’t help. For this reason, we suggest that you carefully study and repeat the instructions shown below and use the assistance of the professional “Properties” Chrome Extension removal tool to ensure that the browser hijacker has been safely and fully eliminated.

What can you do to prevent browser hijackers from getting inside the system in the future?

Applications such as “Properties” Chrome Extension and BlandCaptcha.top may not be the nastiest computer threats that you may encounter because they are not created to cause damage to your system or execute other nasty activities like typical threats such as Trojans, Ransomware or Spyware viruses. However, we still recommend that you don’t keep them on your PC when you have the chance to uninstall them. One of the main reasons for that is the fact you can never fully trust all of the sponsored domains, search engines, toolbars and ads that they may enforce upon your browser. In most of the cases, applications like “Properties” Chrome Extension can install some questionable third-party applications which may put the safety of your browser in danger or redirect you to various unfamiliar web locations with questionable offers, random pop-ups or low-quality sites. That’s why it is just better to eliminate such pieces of software and try to avoid installing them in the future. This may happen if you perform a careless installation of some free application bundles, automatic updates or free add-ons and tools, which may contain some potentially unwanted bonus components that aren’t properly disclosed or are “hidden” under the advanced or custom installation settings.
