You have been infected by “Ads by Adblocker Manger” ? This article includes Ads by Adblocker Manger removal instructions, designed specifically for all versions of Windows.

Ads by Adblocker Manger is a virus of the Adware family. It will create Ads every time you open your browser and will keep doing it until it is removed. Our article will help you do just that, as well as provide some useful information about such viruses in general.

Ads are never to be trusted

Experts classify Adware like Ads by Adblocker Manger as the least dangerous type of viruses. This is largely because the Ads pose no direct danger to your computer. They may be very annoying to put up with, but as long as you avoid any interaction with them (besides closing the windows) you should be relatively safe.

There is no reason to ever click on them anyway. Anything offered will be fraudulent. If anyone ever makes the mistake of downloading or paying for anything he will quickly discover that he was scammed. Any file installed will either be a virus or an useless copy of an original product that neither works nor will be supported.

Ads may try to confuse you by pretending to be system messages

Years of exposure to advertisements have left many of us resistant to the appeal of classical Ads. For this reason virus developers have adopted a new strategy, mostly targeted at people who lack advanced knowledge about computers. Basically what you may see is an Ad, but it will try to look as some kind of system message. Either an error of some sort or a warning about a problem. Neither the error or the problem are real, but they are there to confuse and panic you enough so you forget your better judgement and download the solution offered – a virus file. Here are a couple of items that Ads by Adblocker Manger might be creating:

  1. A program (often Java, Flash, Adobe etc) on your computer is not outdated and has become a security vulnerability. You are offered to download the latest update immediately.
  2. There are critical errors within the registry of your computer, which may cause system instability or data corruption. You can download a free repair program to remedy the situation.
  3. There is a missing plug-in/codec/video player you have to install before you can view media files online.
  4. An online virus scanner has detected a number of viruses on your computer. You have to download and install the scanner so it can remove them.

Delete Ads by Adblocker Manger as quickly as possible

Keeping Adware on your computer for extended periods of time is never a good idea. While the Ads don’t pose any danger if you don’t interact with them these viruses are known to record your browsing history and searches. This information can be potentially send back to the creator with the virus together with passwords, credit card numbers and other sensitive information. For this reason remove Ads by Adblocker Manger as soon as possible and change all important passwords afterwards. Better be too cautious then risk everything.

Viruses often spend one last ditch effort to trick you into installing more of their kind. If you see a screen like this when you click Uninstallchoose NO:

This is perhaps the most important and difficult step, so be extremely careful. Open the Task Manager by right clicking on the Taskbar and choosing Start Task Manager.

Once it opens, choose the Processes Tab. Look at all of the processes in front of you and try to determine which ones are a virus. Google them or ask us in the comments and we will provide the best assistance we can. If the virus returns later on, the reason is that you missed something here.

Right click on each of the virus processes separately and select Open File Location. Also, End the process after you open the folder. Just to make sure we don’t delete any programs you mistakenly took for a virus, copy the folders somewhere, then delete the directories you were sent to.

We’ve had reports that this virus can come back after you uninstall it. This usually takes place on system boot. If this happens, do the following:

Type Regedit in the windows search field and press Enter.

Once inside, press CTRL and F together and type the virus’s Name. Right click and delete any entries you find with a similar name. Alternatively, if you can’t find any this way, look in these directories, and delete the registries manually:

  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER—-Software—–Random numbers
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER—-Software—Microsoft—-Windows—CurrentVersion—Run– Random
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER—-Software—Microsoft—Internet Explorer—-Main—- Random
