You have been infected by “Ads by Ad-Plus” ? This article includes Ads by Ad-Plus removal instructions, designed specifically for all versions of Windows.
If your computer has become the host for the Ads by Ad-Plus then you are also probably looking for a way to remove this annoying Adware. Our article can help, but it even more importantly we’ll also discuss the risk associated with Ads by Ad-Plus and what precautions you have to take until it’s gone.
The Ads are actually harmless, the real danger comes from the things they offer to you
Experts agree that the least dangerous type of viruses is Adware. Ads by Ad-Plus also belongs to the Adware family, but don’t let that make you complacent. These viruses are not also annoying due to the endless amounts of Ads you have to keep closing, but they also work as helpers to more dangerous viruses opening back doors into your system. But to be more precise – the back door in most cases is yourself.
The purpose of the Ads is to trick you into wasting money on some kind of worthless copy product offered at a great discount. Ads vary in quality and believability and some are incredibly good. If you make the mistake of clicking on one of them you can be taken to a site, which looks like an exact copy of the real site selling the item you are interested it. The only difference will be one or two characters in the domain name, which can be downright impossible to spot if you are not intimately familiar with the official site name. If anybody is foolish enough to pay money to such a site then the only outcome would be to get either an ineffective cracked copy (which will then want MORE money to update to start working) or an installer which contains another virus that will try to milk cash in another way.
Ultimately though, not a lot of people fall for these scheme – it’s been running for years and it’s well known.
Some Ads are so good that they are almost indistinguishable from system messages
Enter the modern Ads scam. It’s gotten pretty popular already and Ads by Ad-Plus will not be the only Adware running it. Almost all infected sites on the internet run one or another version of this. What the scam is, basically, a two-part scenario. First you receive some kind of warning or error message that claims there is something wrong with your computer – missing plug-in, registry errors, viruses detected etc. It will look as dangerously written as possible and the goal is to create a sense of urgency or even panic.
Then you are offered a solution – either an easy access to automatically download an update, an offer to download a free program to fix the problem or those missing plug-ins. Since there wasn’t any problem in the first place the solution will be a virus. In the case with errors the new virus will probably look like a program and want money before it fixes the problem in full.

Once it opens, choose the Processes Tab. Look at all of the processes in front of you and try to determine which ones are a virus. Google them or ask us in the comments and we will provide the best assistance we can. If the virus returns later on, the reason is that you missed something here.
Right click on each of the virus processes separately and select Open File Location. Also, End the process after you open the folder. Just to make sure we don’t delete any programs you mistakenly took for a virus, copy the folders somewhere, then delete the directories you were sent to.
We’ve had reports that this virus can come back after you uninstall it. This usually takes place on system boot. If this happens, do the following:
Type Regedit in the windows search field and press Enter.
Once inside, press CTRL and F together and type the virus’s Name. Right click and delete any entries you find with a similar name. Alternatively, if you can’t find any this way, look in these directories, and delete the registries manually:
