Browser hijackers are by no means the most pleasant kind of software, but, unfortunately, they are one of the most commonly encountered ones. Almost every online user at least once have had to meet with a similar application and deal with its consequences, which usually are related to replacements in the browser’s homepage or search engine, as well as an unstoppable generation of different ads, pop-ups, banners and redirect links. It does not matter what browser you use, be it Chrome, Firefox, Edge or another one – most of the popular browsers may easily be affected in one way or another by browser hijackers such as Atsofunpar.info, for example, which is a new representative of this family of software that we will discuss in the next lines. In addition, these applications also tend to fill the browser with all sorts of sponsored online advertisements won’t stop showing on your screen no matter how hard you try to end their generation. On this page, however, we would like to explain how to effectively get rid of the nagging pop-up commercials and how to uninstall the unwanted changes that Atsofunpar.info might have imposed on your browsing program. For this reason, we have prepared a special removal guide below with instructions on the removal of this app, as well as some more information about the nature of this software and its purpose. To your relief, the browser hijackers do not belong to any virus or malware category and that’s why they are certainly not as dangerous as, say, a Ransomware or a Trojan Horse infection. Once you uninstall all the components related to Atsofunpar.info, all of its ads and changes will get removed as well. If you don’t feel like tinkering with your computer settings in order to eliminate the hijacker or you simply don’t think you are experienced enough, don’t worry – There is an automatic removal tool included in the guide, which you can use for quick and effective elimination.

What is Atsofunpar.info and what is its purpose?

The goal of applications like Atsofunpar.info is one – advertising. They are programmed to promote certain pages, products and services which you see on all the advertisements that get displayed on your screen. For this promotion service, the developers of the hijacker get revenue from the manufacturers and distributors, whose goods and services get displayed. Most often, their profits are based on the number of clicks that the users give to those ads. Therefore, the hijacker’s creators are interested in spamming your screen with as many ads as possible and redirecting you to the sponsored pages as much as possible. This is a common practice which is not considered illegal but could be quite aggressive and unpleasant. What is more, getting exposed to hundreds of random ads and different third-party pages can greatly increase the chances of landing on something hazardous. After all, it is a known fact that the cyber criminals often use fake ads and misleading links to distribute viruses like Ransomware, Trojans, Spyware and more. That’s why our suggestion is to avoid such security risks by keeping away from the content that the hijacker generates and to use the instructions above to uninstall it.
