This page aims to help you remove Bnews.com. Our removal instructions work for Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer, as well as every version of Windows.

Intrusive ads, random pesky page-redirects and unwanted changes to different components of your browser such as the starting page address and the search engine tool that you have not agreed to are all things that are typically caused by the representatives of a specific software category known as browser hijackers. Those apps are not malicious like threats such as Ransomware or Trojans but they are highly annoying and although their purpose isn’t to damage your system or to carry out cyber crimes, they could still be compromising to your system’s security if you allow them to reside inside your PC for extended periods of time. The usual targets of such apps are browsing programs like Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Mozilla Firefox but its possible that other browsers could get affected as well.

Bnews.com

The focus of the next lines will be a hijacker that is usually referred to as Bnews.com – this app seems to have found its way to a quite sizeable number of PCs and many users are presently having difficulty with removing it from their machines. This should mainly be attributed to the typical lack of build-in uninstallation options that most hijacker apps are known for. It makes sense, though – through the ads, the redirects and the online marketing-oriented changes that hijackers like Bnews.com tend to impose on the users’ browsers, the people behind such unpleasant apps tend to earn significant amounts of revenue. This is, in fact, the main reason for the creation and distribution of apps that belong to the hijacker category – they are all about gaining profits through online advertising and so it makes sense that their creators would prefer if their products could remain on people’s PCs for extended periods of time.

Tricky, but not impossible…

After all, each click on a hijacker ad and each visit to a page redirect that a given user makes generates profit for the developers of the pesky piece of software which is the main reason why hijackers oftentimes tend to be rather tricky to remove.

It doesn’t really matter if you choose to use the manual instructions or go for the automatic removal using the specialized tool for removing such unwanted programs and apps. The important thing is that you eventually manage to get rid of Bnews.com and of all of the data related to it that might have been left on your PC. Note that the sheer intrusiveness of the irritating hijacker isn’t actually the only reason why you might want to get rid of it. There’s actually a more important reason why we always advice our readers to remove such pieces of software from their computers as soon as they learn about their presence inside the system. A hijacker, though not being as harmful as a Ransomware cryptovirus or a Trojan threat or a Spyware infection, is not a software piece you are supposed to trust. The nature and the appearance of the displayed advertisements and page redirects on your screen should speak for themselves. It is widely-known that, if one wants to keep their computer safe, they must not open any random adverts and sketchy-looking web offers or interact with the contents of questionable web pages. And, if there’s a hijacker on your computer, there will be plenty of those showing on your screen each and every time you try to use your browsing program. With this in mind, it should be easy for you to see exactly why it’s usually preferable if you don’t allow any software components like Bnews.com to reside on your computer.

The defence against hijackers

The best way to ensure that you aren’t forced to deal with the intrusiveness coming from such apps in the future is to stay safe on the Internet and at all times be vigilant and watchful so that you could avoid anything that might land you some unwanted piece of software. Anything from obscure online requests and download prompts to spam messages and obscure downloadables is to be avoided! Also, after downloading a certain program installer, it’s usually worth it to check the Advanced setup menu and see of there are any pieces of software bundled with the main program from the installer. Sometimes, the added components could be useful but bear in mind that in many cases, such bundled apps could actually be hijackers so be very selective about what you allow to get installed on your computer.
