This article aims to help users remove Chinad Adware from Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer and Safari, as well as their respective system.

If your computer has been infected by Chinad Adware then know you are dealing with an Adware type of virus. Luckily these are among the least dangerous types of threats, but nevertheless they are not be understimated. Beside the removal process itself it is also very important not to make things worse – and that can only happen if you interact with Chinad Adware and the Ads it generates and visit the pages behind the links or install any file offered to you.

Chinad Adware

Why is it dangerous to do so?

In its original concept forum Chinad Adware works like a classical Adware – which is much like a TV commercial. It will show you various types of Ads and if whenever you click on one of those the creator of the virus will earn a small amount of money. Unfortunately these days Adwares have become much more dangerous as the Ads often have a hidden agenda on their own.

Since Chinad Adware is malicious software on its own it doesn’t particularly care what type of things it displays and very dangerous Ads are thus often advertised. If clicked on they can take you to different contaminated websites from which only other viruses can be obtained or you could become victim of phishing attempt. As such it will be a very good idea if you stayed away from the Ads until Chinad Adware is removed from your system.

Another, more direct attempt may be used to fool you into installing infected software. Uusally this is done through offering some sort of free software – commonly for PC optimization and fixing errors. Scare tactics may be employed to make you more willing in the form of Ads make to look exactly like system messages. These Ads will report virus problems, registry errors, HDD health issues and many more – whatever is necessary to make you believe you really need the software offered. Another variant of the same scheme is using links that require supposedly vital updates and patches. These could be:

  • Missing plug-in required to download
  • A specific video codec required before you can see a video
  • Program needs urgent update (commonly Java and Flash are used as bait with this one)

Note that it is possible you may actually have to update a program. If you suspect you really have a problem like this you should search for that program online and download/fix from the official site. This is a fairly straightforward process and only takes a minute or so and eliminates the risk of virus interferance.

As you can see for as long as you have Chinad Adware installed on your computer you can never be sure if a problem is real or not. Get rid of it ASAP and don’t install any software prompted by a banner or pop-up until it is gone.
