This page aims to help you remove Chrome Search Info “Virus”. Our removal instructions work for Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer, as well as every version of Windows.

Chrome Search Info is one of those annoying browser hijackers, which may appear in the users’ computer without their knowledge or permission. On the official website, the creators of this program offer you to install Chrome Search Info and use its plug-ins, new homepage, and search engine in order to enhance your browsing experience. Still, if this was the only method of distribution, we would not be talking about this app. This browser hijacker can appear in Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, or Mozilla Firefox after the random and careless installation of other software. Usually, such software spreads through bundles in free software packages and you can easily run into it when you are in a hurry to install a new program.

Once it gets into the computer, Chrome Search Info may change the settings of all browsers and forces you to see sponsored content every time you decide to browse the Internet. Additionally, the hijacker may change the search results and redirect you to different websites full of nagging ads, pop-ups, and banners. This means that instead of organic results, you may find many sponsored links or ads. But there is more. The so-called browser hijacker may not only play with your search results, but it may even track your browsing habits to get more information about your Internet activity. If you think that this activity is harmless, it is a good idea to think again because such information as search terms, most visited pages, time spent on each one, information that is being introduced, etc. can reveal a lot about you. Not to mention the irritation and constant disturbance you may have to deal with every time you open your browser and the possible redirection to sketchy or unfamiliar sites.

If you have already faced such disturbance, you probably landed on this page to seek for a solution. Fortunately, we can offer you a tested Removal Guide and a professional removal tool. To completely remove this hijacker and uninstall all of its imposed modifications, you should not waste your time and scan your computer with the professional removal tool below. We recommend that you choose automatic removal instead of manual, because it is the fastest and easiest way to check your computer system. Searching for potentially unwanted components, which could be related to a browser-hijacker, may take a long time if you do it yourself. Still, if you feel like you can do it and you have enough skills, you can also try to manually remove Chrome Search Info, with the instructions, prepared by our specialists.

Is Chrome Search Info a virus?

No browser hijacker has ever been classified as a virus, and neither is Chrome Search Info. This type of software significantly differs from typical malware threats such as Ransomware, Trojans, Spyware and other computer infections. Unlike them, the hijacker is not programmed to perform criminal deeds but to advertise. Its methods of aggressive browser modifications and generation of sponsored content may not be the nicest, but still, they are considered to be marketing tactics, which are legitimate according to the law. If you are having issues with your browser, however, you have all the right to remove this software and in the guide below, we will show you exactly how to do that.

Users install unwanted browser extensions without realizing it!

Just like any other potentially unwanted program, Chrome Search Info spreads through many methods, but mostly through software bundles. Unfortunately, we cannot say which programs are involved in the distribution. So be careful when downloading different free applications and their installers, because such software may eventually be included in the setup. The first thing you need to do is take a moment to read the End User License Agreement, the Privacy Statement, and other similar information about your freeware. If you think everything is OK, make sure that you have selected the User or Advanced Setup installation. This method will help you see what “selectable” components are trying to break into the computer system. Uncheck the ones you don’t need and other unfamiliar search engines, browser add-ons, toolbars, plug-ins, and extensions and you will not have to deal with them later.

Efficient ways to completely uninstall Chrome Search Info.

We previously mentioned that the manual removal of Chrome Search Info requires a detailed review of the affected computer system. Below you will find instructions on how to do this. Be sure to remove all components, associated with the hijacker, and fix all web browsers. If you accidentally leave something, you may be the victim of repeated browser hijacking.

If you have no experience with similar endeavors, we advise you to choose the automatic removal method and scan your PC with the professional removal tool. This method not only saves time but also ensures that all potentially unwanted programs (and even some hazardous components such as Ransomware, Trojans, Spyware, etc.) are deleted from the machine completely.
