This page aims to help you remove .Colorit Virus Ransomware for free. Our instructions also cover how any .Colorit file can be recovered.

Most PC users tend to have some form of important data stored in their computers that they certainly do not want to lose. This, however, is exactly what the creators of malicious malware threats like .Colorit rely on. The infections like .Colorit are nasty pieces of malware that utilize the data-encryption method as means of making their victims unable to access or use any of the personal files that are present in their computers. The name that is typically used to refer to malware programs like this one is Ransomware cryptoviruses – those are the nastiest and most difficult to deal with sub-category of Ransomware and .Colorit is by far one of the latest additions this nefarious family of viruses. If you are among its many victims, this means that your files are probably inaccessible right now as they have gotten locked by the malware’s encryption code. Typically, once a Ransomware completes this stage of its agenda, it goes on to blackmail its victims by telling them that their only hope of recovering the inaccessible personal files is through the payment of a certain amount of money as a ransom. The payment of the ransom needs to be carried out following some strict and specific steps that are explained in a special ransom-demanding message that gets generated inside the infected machine once the files there have gotten encrypted.

In case you are dealing with a similar problem right now, it is important to first acquaint yourself with the specifics of this virus and learn more about the different options you have right now before you do something impulsive that may lead to more problems.

The options you have after a attack by .Colorit Virus File

There are basically two variants of action in a situation like this – either you pay the money demanded by the blackmailers and hope that they will allow you to get your data back or you try to take care of this problem through alternative means. Depending on what you choose to do, there are different consequences that may come from it but it’s important that you know that no matter what you opt for, you may still not restore all of your data.

Let’s, for example, say that you pay the money – this may indeed bring your files back but it may also turn out to be an utter and pointless waste of money. After all, the people behind .Colorit are dishonest hackers that may or may not keep their promise and allow you to retrieve your files. On the other hand, the alternative methods available to you may not always be as effective as you’d like. Still, to help those of you who do not wish to pay the ransom, we have prepared a guide for the elimination of .Colorit with some added data-recovery options that may help some of you. Even if you do not manage to get all of your files back, you should still be able to at least clean your computer if you try the guide below, which is essential if you want to make your computer safe for future use.
