This page aims to help you remove Fidonav. Our removal instructions work for Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer, as well as every version of Windows.

Technically, Fidonav is a browser hijacker that spreads on the web as a useful search engine and tends to integrate with Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer and other popular browsers. This program claims to be ready to show people the most appropriate search results and to help them improve their browsing experience by changing their homepage, redirecting their searches and showing them targeted ads, pop-ups, banners and web pages. However, have you ever considered why there are so many users who are looking to remove Fidonav? In the next lines, we will give you a thorough look at this browser hijacker and its abilities and will tell you exactly how to remove its nagging ads by fully uninstalling it from your system. If you want to get rid of this program, you should know that the uninstallation process is much more complicated than it looks. The browser hijacker may attempt to hide from you or use browser objects and components to prevent it from being deleted. For this reason, we have prepared a detailed removal guide which will show you the necessary steps to eliminate all the browser hijacking components once and for all.

How Fidonav spreads and why it is not a good idea to keep it on your PC

Programs like this can usually be found on many web locations and may be freely downloaded directly from some file sharing sites, torrent platforms, freeware sites and ads. However, most of the times the browser hijacker is part of the installers of other programs (usually free applications) and is installed without the user’s knowledge thanks to a software bundle technique. The key to a safe installation process of free software without additional bundles is to be careful and to review each step of the installation without any hurry. You should avoid installing programs with “Default” or “Standard Installation” settings. Instead, select the detailed settings. You should then uncheck suspicious bids for free bonus software, recommended software or additional components. Make sure you have unmarked fields saying: “I agree to make Fidonav my default search engine” or “make Fidonav.com my homepage “. No matter how harmless it looks, this hijacker can only mess up your computer.

Another thing to warn you about is that leaving Fidonav on your computer may be dangerous. This is because of its ability to monitor the users’ browsing activity. In addition, you should be careful because it can show you changed search results or redirect you to sponsored sites, which may hide potentially malicious components such as viruses, Trojans and Ransomware. In return for this activity, the developers of this program receive revenue through Pay-Per-Click or other sponsored ads positioning. However, you should also be cautious about the problem of redirecting, initiated by this and other hijackers. Don’t rush into clicking on a suspicious ad generated by this program, because some nasty virus may be cleverly hidden in the search results. Although this may not always be the case, it is true that you cannot be sure which of your redirected searches may lead to illegal sites, so it’s highly recommended to avoid them or even better, remove the browser hijacker from your system.

Moreover, if you were misled into downloading this program while installing another program, you should uninstall it from your machine instead of being forced to tolerate its activities. We recommend that you use the professional Fidonav removal tool to quickly detect and delete all the related components without much effort, or use the manual instructions in the removal guide below.

How do you remove this browser hijacker?

Fidonav is an unpleasant application that has already hit thousands of computers. Unfortunately, some users do not even know that they are dealing with a browser hijacker. It is a shame because such users may easily be redirected to malicious sites and catch a Trojan or Ransomware infection by chance. In addition, they may reveal their personal information to strangers because browsers and similar components often tend to collect some browsing related information and transmit it to third parties. With this in mind, we can say that you should not keep such software on your computer because it’s obvious that it does not bring anything positive for the users. Fortunately, we can show you how to uninstall Fidonav from your system. For this, we have decided to prepare very informative removal instructions, including illustrations and pictures related to the removal process.
