Guce Advertising

Guce Advertising is a form of malware called a browser hijacker that can install unwanted elements in your browser. Guce Advertising is known for targeting Chrome, Firefox, and other popular browsing programs and for redirecting their users to different sites to boost those sites’ traffic.

The Guce Advertising Virus will redirect your searches and display Pop-up ads.

A number of web users have recently reported that their web browsing experience has been disturbed by some unwanted notifications, ads, banners, pop-ups, and automatic page-redirects. The source of these notifications seems to be a program called Guce Advertising Virus. This program is an application that easily can integrate with popular browsers like Chrome, Firefox, Explorer, and others, and typically alters their settings in favor of some sponsored toolbars, components, and shortcuts to different sites.

The Guce Advertising Redirect

Guce Advertising (guce.advertising.com) is a browser redirect type of computer malware. Guce Advertising will hijack your browser and redirect you to a website (guce.advertisng.com) for potentially unsafe interactions.

Due to this behavior, Guce Advertising is considered to be a Browser Hijacker. If you don’t know what a Browser Hijacker is but you want to get rid of its imposed search engines, homepage URLs and ads and remove it from your computer permanently, stay with us. On this page, we will show you how to uninstall the potentially unwanted program and will explain to you how to protect yourself in the future.

Browser Hijackers are not some nasty malicious programs and do not have the harmful abilities of threats like Trojans, Ransomware, or Viruses. Yet, it is advisable to treat them with caution as the sponsored ads they display may lead you to download potentially unwanted programs, disturb your browsing experience, and even lead to the potential exposure to insecure web locations via automatic page-redirects.

What is Guce Advertising?

Guce Advertising is an online marketing tool used for aggressive online promotion that is actively spreading through software bundling, free downloads, browser add-ons, and ads. The goal of Guce Advertising is to redirect you to certain web pages and earn money via pay-per-click.

Immediately after becoming part of the system, however, the Hijacker integrates with the main browser and may install a new search engine or a toolbar, or to start redirecting you to a new homepage URL without your approval. As a result, Guce Advertising gets an opportunity to start displaying sponsored messages on your screen.

If you have not encountered such a Browser Hijacker until now, we advise you to follow the instructions provided at the end of the article to safely remove this potentially unwanted program. The main reason we recommend you this is because the main danger associated with the pop-up ads and redirects is that they may take you to potentially unwanted or insecure web pages. Sadly, most of the marketers who create Browser Hijackers and use the pay-per-click payment scheme do not closely monitor all the ads before adding their links. As a result, you may be redirected to a web page containing real malware, including Ransomware or Trojans, without knowing it.

That’s why, although apps like Guce AdvertisingSite-great.xyz or Mail.ru may seem safe and secure and are not a direct threat to your system, you should be very careful with them and the content they generate. We advise you to uninstall those programs from your computer, especially if they have infiltrated you without your consent. If you cannot do this manually with the help of the Removal Guide below, choose the easiest way to scan your computer with an updated removal tool and remove everything reported as unsafe.
