This page aims to help you remove Pugu5l.com. Our removal instructions work for Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer, as well as every version of Windows.

Pugu5l.com is an ad-generating and page-redirecting application which usually interrupts the users’ web searches with various sponsored commercials, typically in the forms of intrusive on-screen ads, banners, pop-ups and similar promotional messages. The application usually prompts the people to click on some predefined links and to visit some third-party pages in order to win a prize, to get a discount, to purchase some product or to download some free new tool. In addition, Pugu5l.com may place some changes to the main browser (it doesn’t really matter if you are using Chrome, Firefox, Explorer or another popular browsing app) and replace the homepage or the default search engine as well as install some new shortcut buttons or toolbars without asking for approval. Fortunately, the behavior of this application is not related to anything criminal or malicious. The security experts classify Pugu5l.com as a potentially unwanted application from the browser hijacker type and do not put it next to serious computer threats such as Ransomware, Spyware or Trojan Horse viruses.

You may end up with a browser hijacker of this type on your computer if you perform a careless installation of some free program bundle or download and install a browser add-on or an update without first carefully customizing its setup. Usually, the effects of this software on the system are not fatal but the constant ad-generating and the page-redirect prompts may still cause browsing disturbances, unwanted interruptions, sluggishness and unresponsiveness, which, in the long run, may become really irritating. It is also not excluded that you may become a victim of misleading links or fake ads which may land you on potentially hazardous web locations if you happen to click on them. For this reason, if you have Pugu5l.com on your PC, it is a good idea to consider its uninstallation. This will permanently remove all the random ads and sponsored messages from your screen and will enable you to restore your normal browser settings.

Get rid of the ads and the pop-ups in a fast and risk-free way.

If you want to remove Pugu5l.com and all of its nagging browser changes and pop-up messages without wasting time, it is best to run a full scan of your PC with a reliable removal tool. Such a tool can uninstall all the browser hijacker components automatically and can guarantee you a fast and safe elimination of any hidden residual hijacker-related. In case that you don’t have a proper removal program which can do that, on this page, there is a trusted removal tool that you can use. Of course, if you think that you can locate and uninstall the browser hijacker manually, you can use the step-by-step instructions in the removal guide above. Just make sure that you follow all the instructions carefully because if you don’t really know what you are doing, there is always a risk of delete something else which might be important to your system and its functioning. Keep in mind that, despite not being as stealthy as Ransomware or Trojans, most browser hijackers can still be rather challenging to remove and tend to reinstall themselves again if you don’t fully remove all of their components. That’s why, after you complete the manual steps, we still recommend you run a full system scan to ensure that your PC is clean from any potentially unwanted components.
