This page aims to help you remove Rnewsr.com. Our removal instructions work for Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer, as well as every version of Windows.

Rnewsr.com is an application that generally looks very similar to a normal browser extension and is usually able to operate as an added component to browsers like Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer. However, if you have had this application installed on your system, you may quickly realize that it operates quite differently than most regular browser extensions and add-ons. For instance, instead of providing you with some actual functionality, Rnewsr.com tends to make some (mostly unwanted) changes to your main browser without asking you for an approval. It typically installs a new search engine or a toolbar and replaces the default homepage with another, sponsored one. What is more, it forces the browser to generate hundreds of pop-up ads, banners and page-redirects on every page that you open.

This way, the strange software affects your web browsing experience in a rather negative way by constantly exposing you to different commercials. If you’ve landed on this page, you most probably already have had Rnewsr.com installed on your system and are now wondering how to safely have its changes revoked and its ads removed without causing harm to the computer. Luckily, we have some good news for you – this application is not as problematic as a real virus, a Ransomware or a Trojan-based infection. That’s why you can get rid of it fairly easily if you follow the instructions that our “How to remove” team has prepared below. Judging by the way it operates, it seems that Rnewsr.com belongs to the browser hijacker software category and could be very annoying even though it lacks the typical harmful abilities of an actual harmful piece of malware.  That’s why, in the paragraphs that follow, you will find useful information about the nature of this type of software, and the best ways to uninstall it without any risk for your system.

Many users initially mistake applications like Rnewsr.com for some sort of nasty viruses. However, such pieces of software are nothing more than annoying ad-generating and page-redirecting tools. They help the online advertisers promote their products, services, and websites on the screen of the web users during their web browsing and aren’t really capable of inflicting any harm upon your system. Most browser hijackers are mainly used to generate pay-per-click profits through sponsored redirects and aggressive generation to promoted pages. That being said, these applications could really get on one’s nerves by constantly interrupting their normal web surfing experience and imposing unwanted changes to their browser. What is more, sometimes the hijackers may display shady or misleading content, which may easily expose the users to real security hazards, including Trojans, different viruses and even nasty Ransomware infections. That’s why it is generally advisable not to click on everything that an application like Rnewsr.com may display on your screen. In fact, in order to eliminate the ads and to reduce the risk of bumping into something malicious when you least expect it, it is best to use the instructions in the removal guide above (or the specialized professional removal tool in it) and, with their help, permanently uninstall the pesky software from your system.
