Let’s start right off with answering this question – yes, this is a dangerous software and represents a threat to your PC health. While Search8844 Virus displays many characteristics of a PUP, short for potentially unwanted program, it alarmingly also behaves in ways usually reserved for the Adware type of virus. This is a form of malware usually considered just a step above its cousin the PUP. We agree with the notion that there are far more frightening things around the internet that you should look out for. Yet you must not disregard this virus in the slightest. We will elaborate more on that in our removal guide as well as give you some tips on what to do and what to avoid in such cases. Before that though let’s answer what should probably be your second question about that whole matter.
