If a program called is disturbing you lately, then you should know that you are dealing with a type of software that IT experts call a Browser Hijacker. In the event that a browser hijacker has made it inside your system, it instantly reveals itself through some of its most notable signs of infection. The most intrusive of those symptoms are the many different sorts of invasive adverts which include pop-ups, box messages, banners, and similar aggressive commercials. Needless to say, the main reason for coming up with this article is to aid those of you who want to get rid of the annoying software. Just know there’s nothing serious to worry about – those applications are quite easy to deal with. Knowing what exactly you are facing is vital for the removal process, thus we advise you to read this article entirely without leaving out any part of it.

A very typical confusion among the people who are faced with a Browser Hijacker such as the VirusCloudnet or is to think their PC has become the target of a strange computer virus. You can easily understand the confusion – after all, the word “virus” is commonly being used for every issue that is related to computers and isn’t a hardware-related one. Moreover, programs like the Virus are undoubtedly disturbing and irritating to the point that almost no one wants them. However, they’re hardly ever dangerous to the computer. Just for comparison, a real virus can lead to all kinds of problems – typically involving file corruption, money theft, and spying. One particularly nasty class of computer viruses is referred to as Ransomware and is right now the nightmare for many people and corporations worldwide. The Ransomware virus specializes in locking computer files and stopping you from accessing them if you don’t pay a certain amount of money. This malware is definitely scary, but the good news is this is not what you are up against. A Browser Hijacker like is nowhere near the capabilities of such computer threats and it is unlikely to have any long-lasting consequences for your machine.

We have to tell you, though, that very often, the hijacker applications may try to execute certain actions that you most likely are unaware of. One possibility is that programs the likes Malware could perform a background task that records your browsing history. Any information collected is analyzed in order to produce appealing Advertisements, but also, sometimes, sold to third-parties. Some might regard this as not so bothering feature, but in reality, it really is an invasion of your individual space. Besides, due to the constant ad-generating activity that is happening in the background, the computer’s general performance and speed may get affected negatively. People making use of mobile data plans should also be exceptionally cautious if they have a Browser Hijacker like operating on their system, as Ads transferred from far servers can eat precious data transfer rate. Moreover, the Ads are usually not to be trusted either, especially when they promote different low-quality products, software from unknown developers or different sketchy links. Of course, this happens very rarely, but there’s no reason to unnecessarily expose your computer to danger by following those intrusive commercials.

We get asked this a lot, so we are putting it here: Removing parasite manually may take hours and damage your system in the process. We recommend downloading SpyHunter to see if it can detect parasite files for you.

Press CTRL + SHIFT + ESC at the same time and go to the Processes Tab (the “Details” Tab on Win 8 and 10). Try to determine which processes are dangerous.

Right click on each of them and select Open File Location. Then scan the files with our free online virus scanner:

Drag and Drop Files Here to Scan
Maximum file size: 128MB.

This scanner is free and will always remain free for our website's users. You can find its full-page version at:

After you open their folder, end the processes that are infected, then delete their folders.

Note: If you are sure something is part of the infection – delete it, even if the scanner doesn’t flag it. No anti-virus program can detect all infections.

Hold together the Start Key and R. Type appwiz.cpl –> OK.

You are now in the Control Panel. Look for suspicious entries. Uninstall it/them.

Type msconfig in the search field and hit enter. A window will pop-up:

Startup —> Uncheck entries that have “Unknown” as Manufacturer or otherwise look suspicious.

To remove parasite on your own, you may have to meddle with system files and registries. If you were to do this, you need to be extremely careful, because you may damage your system.

If you want to avoid the risk, we recommend downloading SpyHunter
