If a browser hijacker like Resultieser “Virus” has recently gotten installed on your Android device, then you’re likely experiencing generation of intrusive advertising pop-ups, banners and even browser page redirects when you are using your Chrome, Firefox, the default browsing app of your Android smartphone or tablet or any other browsing app you might have. Such behavior is typical for most software components of the browser hijacker category which is the main reason why they are deemed unwanted and why people typically prefer to have them removed. The ads could oftentimes prevent you from normally using your device and might even sometimes redirect you to pages and sits with sketchy contents. Though rare, it’s even theoretically possible that if you tap on some unsafe ad you could land on some malicious webpage that is being used by hackers and online criminals for spreading Trojans, Spyware, Ransomware and other similar nasty malware threats. Again, this doesn’t usually happen in most of the cases and hijacker apps themselves are not normally regarded as viruses but it’s still something that’s worth keeping in mind, especially if Resultieser is currently on your phone or tablet.
Something to note here is that you will likely not be able to get rid of the advertising materials and the intrusive page redirects if the hijacker remains on your device. This is why, we have prepared for you a guide which can help you uninstall the Resultieser hijacker and that way make the advert go away from your screen permanently. You can find the guide right below this short write-up so go ahead and take a look at it if you’re currently getting bothered by the pesky Resultieser.
How can such software come to your device?
In most cases, users never realize what landed them the hijacker. This is mainly because browser hijackers typically come as components of other apps. Sometimes, you might download some free app that has a hijacker element in it. Also, it’s possible that a certain update ads an ad-generating feature to an application that has never before emitted ads. Whatever the case, in most cases, the app that contains the hijacker feature would need to be uninstalled in order for the ads to stop appearing on your screen. If you want to avoid future hijacker encounters, we advise you to stick to reliable software download sources and also to research new apps prior to installing them so that you can see what other users might have to say about them.

Then click on Clear Data and Clear Cache.
Restart your Browser. It might be a good idea to Reboot your Android device, just in case.
If you are still seeing Ads in your browser, it is likely they are generated by the websites you visit and there is nothing you can do about it.
However, if you are seeing Adverts outside of your internet browser, then one of your installed Apps contains the problematic Adware. In this case you need to take a look at this guide.
