This page aims to help you remove Search Sidecubes. These Search Sidecubes removal instructions work for Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer, as well as every version of Windows.

The reason why you are on this page at the moment is that you probably don’t approve of the recent behavior of your browser. It seems to be going mad and is literally showering you with ads of all sorts. No matter how hard you try, some of those ads don’t want to close and all of them open again when you try to load a webpage. This ad-based issue is related to Search Sidecubes. Search Sidecubes is an Adware-like program, whose specialty is making numerous ads appear all over your monitor as banners, pop-ups, new browser tabs, colorful boxes and so on.

Simple logic: you have been infected with a virus, haven’t you?

Although Search Sidecubes can literally make your browser go crazy with ads, it is nothing similar to a virus. It is indeed annoying and is capable of interrupting your browsing experience, however, it is unable to cause any substantial damage to your PC. As an illustration – most viruses do something evil and dishonest like crashing whole systems, destroying data, hijacking files and then requiring a ransom for giving them back to you, as is the habit of notoriously harmful ransomware. Some malware may even steal your account and banking credentials and spy on you through your computer/laptop camera. All this is disgusting and Adware DOESN’T do anything like that.

Nevertheless, as you might expect, some security experts have identified it as a Potentially Unwanted Program for some reasons – the way it gets installed and the way it determines the tastes of the affected users. We are going to discuss the methods it uses to define someone’s preferences – it is simple and it is marketing; vendors desperately need to sell something to you. That’s why they use a rather shady technique to become aware of your desires and needs. The Adware-like products research your surfing habits in order to find what products or services you have recently been looking for.  Then they adjust their advertisement campaigns to your browsing history and you get only the pop-ups and banners, whose content you might really be interested in.

Another possible unpleasant aspect of Search Sidecubes is that some ad campaigns might be so intense that your entire computer freezes – it depends on the system resources of your PC, but still, such a big number of ads may slow your machine down. Also, there could be the chance of being redirected to potentially malicious places on the web by some of the generated advertisements, which is rather unlikely, though.

Is there a reason why the generated ads might be so many?

There is always a reason and in most of the cases the reason is money. Developers use Adware to generate further income. The more advertisements you have access to, the bigger is the chance that you will want to click on one of them and purchase a service or a product. This is a legitimate marketing technique, famous under the name PPC {pay per click}. Search Sidecubes as well as most other versions of Adware exploit exactly that strategy to make money.

When and where have you and Search Sidecubes met?

This type of Adware might get distributed in many different ways. Possible options are torrents, contaminated websites, spam letters, email attachments and shareware. Still, the source that most often leads to an Adware infection is the infamous software bundling. This is a process that allows programmers to mix the software they have developed with Adware in order to be able to spread their programs at no charge but still receive some money from the ads. Once such a piece of software is downloaded, the only chance to prevent your system from catching Adware is to install it properly. Remember that the right habits when it comes to the installation process will save you from Adware and threats far bigger than that.

The only plausible choice: the Custom {Advanced; Customized} option. Choose that one and read all the menus and agreements. In this way your system will be free of Adware-like programs. The other options: Typical; Automatic; Quick, Default, Easy should stop existing for you. They do not provide all the necessary information when it comes to the installation process. Avoid them.
