Did you try temporarily turning off your antivirus and then re-accessing the Hosts file?

In reply to HowToRemove.Guide Team. Found the issue. this malware has changed the DNS address in my modem. so had to make a reset to default factory setting and everything is back to normal. thanks

Can you send us a screenshot of your program installs (from the Control Panel). Also, what did you see when you opened the Hosts file – were there no IP’s below “localohost”?

Hi, followed all the steps to remove from Google chrome and none of what was mentioned exist in my system. the issue still exists. any further guidance?
