This text serves the purpose of providing plenty of important details concerning a specific virus known under the name of .Skymap virus. What is absolutely necessary for you to know about this harmful piece of programming is that it belongs to the Ransomware family so this malicious piece is fully capable of utilizing a very intricate code to make you unable to access your files. The basic idea of the encryption process is that after it is finally completed, the user will not be able to access their own files and would therefore be forced to pay a ransom to the hacker for the liberation of the inaccessible files. To ensure the needed ransom is indeed paid, this virus usually shows a special message on the affected user’s desktop as soon as the process of encryption has ended successfully. Within the said message, there would normally be instructions explaining exactly how the ransom is to be paid. Normally, some of the warnings claim that you will never access your data unless you agree to fulfill all the requirements of the hackers. Commonly, the hacker would claim that the reversing of the encryption process is guaranteed provided you complete the payment, however, it’s worth asking yourself whether or not the people harassing you are trustworthy in any way. In case you are indeed harassed by such a virus, we encourage you to proceed with the next paragraphs and the Guide we have attached here since there, you may find a solution for this nasty infection.

How .Skymap File Works

There are certainly a number of crucial facts that an individual must keep in mind when confronted with a Ransomware. First and foremost, such a virus may be fully capable of doing its shady job unnoticed by most conventional cyber security programs. Generally, this usually means that .Skymap virus may be blocking files in full stealth which often means that the encryption would get executed unseen.

What’s really interesting about Ransomware is that these threats could be able to avoid getting detected by most common anti-virus software programs. The fact that no damage is caused to the PC is the reason why such malicious software could stay hidden from the vast majority of antimalware applications. Everything a Ransomware will generally do is generate encrypted illegal copies of the files in your machine and subsequently remove the original versions – this is how any encryption operates. Because of the fact that file encryption is often utilized for file protection, your anti-malware application may not actually see it as anything dangerous. As soon as this process gets accomplished, the victim in most cases receives an alert telling them about the completed encoding procedure. Such a scary pop-up normally consists of ransom demands as well as details with regards to how the ransom must be transacted. The hackers want their victims to specifically follow the instructions from the ransom note so that the money is sent to the exact online address of the people behind the malware attack. Paying the ransom, however, is not something we’d advise you to go for due to the risk of losing your money without getting an access key for your files.
