What is typical for Trojans?
Presently, the Internet is full of many different types of dangers, from simple viruses to various sophisticated and complex malicious programs. Among all of them, Trojans are considered to be some of the most harmful and trickiest. They are blamed for an impressive percentage of infections, (more than 70% of the internet infections are due to Trojans) and also for a number of criminal activities. Generally, these threats are not named “Trojans” by chance. The way they operate is inspired by the ancient myths about the Trojan War and the legends about the wooden horse, which was a game changer in the defeat of the city of Troy. Similarly, the computer Trojan horse is designed to trick web users and get inside their system while pretending to be something completely harmless. Once there, it starts to secretly activate various malicious processes, depending on the purpose of the hackers, who control it. Usually, such viruses lack the typical symptoms of a malware infection and try to remain hidden for as long as possible. Detecting them could be very difficult, especially in the absence of reputed antivirus software.
