Could there be more annoying software than a browser hijacker? To the users who have had a close encounter with such pieces of software there probably isn’t anything more irritating than that. A browser hijacker is an application which typically operates as a browser add-on and can integrate with almost all of the popular browsers such as Chrome, Mozilla, IE, Edge, etc. Once installed, it “hijacks” the targeted browser by imposing various unwanted changes on it such as homepage replacements, new search engine installation, generation of ads, pop-ups, banners and random redirects to unfamiliar web pages or to sponsored online content.
Obviously, all of these changes can affect the way the users surf the web. What is more, they can be extremely irritating especially because they are usually hard to remove without some special guidance. The good news is that, on this page, we have prepared a detailed Removal Guide, which you can use to uninstall the annoying hijacker and to bring your favorite browser back to normal in case that it has been hijacked. In fact, in the next lines, we will stop our attention on one particular browser hijacking application called Spaceforyou.cc which has been repeatedly reported as a source of browser changes similar to the above-described. If this application has found its way into your computer and is causing you browsing redirects and other unpleasant issues, it should not be so difficult to deal with it. Once you get some general idea about its nature and the way it operates, you should simply follow the instructions in the Guide below or use the professional Spaceforyou.cc removal tool for automatic detection and removal.
What should you know about the hijackers and their browsing changes?
Many people are quite unsure about the nature of applications like Spaceforyou.cc and often confuse them with viruses. However, most of them don’t know that the browser hijackers are not actual malicious computer threats and that they are typically completely legitimate advertising pieces of software. Yes, typically these pieces of software are used for aggressive promotion of certain products, services, web pages, and tools, directly on the users’ screen. The users usually install them on their computers along with some other software, because hijackers usually come in an application bundle or in some free software setup pack.

In order to effectively advertise and to redirect you to the promoted pages, the hijackers usually set some changes to your browser’s settings and start to manipulate your search results in favor of their sponsored content. But why? Well, the people who develop such applications usually earn a lot of money from the way the browser hijackers operate. Therefore, they seek to flood your screen with sponsored ads, pop-ups, and banners and redirect you to specific web pages because the more you click on them, the greater the profit. Thanks to advertising methods such as the Pay-Per-Click model, the creators of applications such as Spaceforyou.cc get paid for every click their software manages to accumulate from the ads that it displays. The users, whose browser has been hijacked, however, could hardly ever benefit from the browser changes and the never-ending stream of ads. In some cases, the hijacker may indeed redirect them to some good offers or pages they might be interested in but most of the time, the hijacker’s services would cause nothing but irritation and unwanted ad interruptions. This is exactly why a large number of people want to actually uninstall the hijacker permanently and to remove all of its changes, ads, and page-redirects.
Fortunately, unlike computer threats such as Ransomware or Trojans, a piece of software like Spaceforyou.cc cannot cause any harm to the system. Apart from the above-described browsing irritation, the browser hijacker is incapable of any criminal deeds such as data corruption, file and OS destruction, theft of documents or encryption of valuable files. Therefore, it is not considered to be a virus or some sort of malware. Still, you should always be careful where you click and where this software redirects you to because you can never be sure about the legitimacy and the safety of all of its random ads and sponsored pages. Of course, the risk of bumping into a nasty Ransomware or a hidden Trojan virus is still low, yet you should still be cautious.
So, to stay safe, we would advise you to avoid interaction with the content coming from ad-generating applications such as Spaceforyou.cc, similar browser hijackers or adware. If you want to get rid of all the annoyance, however, you should check the Removal Guide below and uninstall the unwanted software once and for all.
