Prevention is the best protection!

The best way to protect your computer from infections like .Suspended and their nasty consequences is to ensure such malware never enters your system. For this, you should try to avoid all the possible sources of Ransomware, which could, unfortunately, be numerous.

Emails from unknown senders and messages that appear as spam are some of the most probable transmitters. Curious/tempting attachments, installers, and files, which may come via email or social engineering pop-ups, may also result in an encounter with a malware transmitter. Different sketchy links, ads, pop-ups, and notifications that come out of the blue are also not to be trusted. Stay alert for other threats such as Trojans, because contamination with them may also deliver a Ransomware like .Suspended on your PC. Ensure your system is updated regularly and run frequent scans with your antivirus for optimal protection.

Characteristics and details about .Suspended Ransomware:

.Suspended is a newly discovered file-encrypting Ransomware infection, which could cause you harm in the following way:

  • It will secretly scan and infiltrate all the drives on your PC;
  • Once a full scan is done, it will detect a list of targeted files and encrypt them one by one with a very complex algorithm.
  • It will generate a secret decryption key and will send it to the hackers
  • It will place a ransom note on your screen and ask you to pay the ransom in order to receive the decryption key for your files;
  • It will threaten you and harass you in various ways in order to make you carry out the ransom payment sooner.

The whole idea behind all these actions is blackmailing/money extortion. The criminals rely on surprise and frustration in order to make their victims pay the ransom as fast as possible. In exchange, they promise to send a decryption key, which they claim will be able to bring the affected files back to normal. However, is paying ransom to some cyber criminals a good solution? Let’s see.

What should you do if .Suspended Ransomware has encrypted your files?

Fear and frustration are never good advisors when you have to deal with Ransomware. Many reputed security experts, including our “How to remove” team, strongly advise all the victims of .Suspended to avoid making impulsive decisions and paying ransom to the criminals. Such course of action not only makes the hackers richer but it will in no way can guarantee the successful recovery of the encrypted files. That’s why paying right away is the worst trap you may fall in. Trying to remain calm and exploring other alternatives, however, may help you come up with better solutions. Indeed, if we have to be completely honest with you, there is no single and a 100% efficient method to deal with the Ransomware infection. Your files may remain encrypted even if you manage to remove .Suspended and for this reason, it is really difficult to advise you on what exactly to do.

However, if you eliminate the malware, you will surely do a favor to your system, which can never be safe while a nasty file-encrypting virus is still active in it. The instructions in the Removal Guide below may be of great help when it comes to detecting and removing .Suspended. You can also use the professional .Suspended removal tool for a more in-deep scan. There are also some free file-restoration solutions included that might potentially help you. Bear in mind though, that no guarantee can be given for the future of your data. You just need to explore the available options and see for yourself what works best.
