.Svn Virus

Talking about nasty programs:

The following lines may not sound very relieving, but they include the truth.  Normally, the reputation of Ransomware precedes it. This kind of malware is often described as the most horrible software ever developed. According to the facts we know about these viruses, they originated in Russia – supposedly in the late 90s. Ever since that moment,  they have become the favorite tool of many hackers around the globe, which they use for making unfortunate users give their money to these cyber criminals.

Firstly, how does .Svn Virus function?

.Svn Virus is a representative of the evil Ransomware – such malware normally infiltrates your system with or without the help of a Trojan horse virus as a means of transport. These two virus pals could be frequently found inside spam emails and their attachments. The rest of the sources may be numerous and different – from an infected website to a text documents, fake ads and torrents.

After invading your PC, .Svn Virus tends to focus on defining which of your data is the most commonly used. Eventually, exactly this data ends up encoded and your access to those files gets blocked, to your great disappointment.

The final stage of this contamination is the appearance of a harassing notification with the info about the infection which has just taken place, ransom demands and payment instructions. The warnings inside this message could be very diverse – from increasing the amount of the required ransom to deleting the encryption key and never giving you your access back. Sadly, most of these threats are often real and hackers tend to stick to them.

Obviously, the most efficient piece of advice when we talk about Ransomware is to try to stay away from all suspicious web pages, illegal torrents, unknown spam letters and odd email attachments as facing .Svn Virus really requires serious actions and difficult decisions to make.

Why paying off the demanded ransom is not really the best idea…

To start with, let’s discuss a little more the nature of the requested ransom. Normally, after your files have been locked up, you get a threatening,  but informative, notification with all the wishes and needs of the hackers. Nonetheless, if you have lost the access to your data, you should know that even if you make the decision to pay the hackers, they may remain unwilling to give you with the encryption code for freeing your files.

Indeed, no successful decryption process could be guaranteed by paying off the demanded money. Furthermore, the cyber criminals could get even more abusive and alter the amount of the required ransom in case you don’t pay on time. The ransom may be varying:  from $10-15 to more than $850. No honesty should be expected from any of the harassing hackers.

This page is supposed to assist you in making an informed  and wise decision. Such a decision may really represent a dilemma to you. What’s more, it is not guaranteed that you will get the access to your files no matter what you do. Think about that very carefully and consider your chances. Our honest opinion is that you should pay attention to our tips below and never pay the ransom immediately.
