This page aims to help you remove Travassactechnology.com “Virus”. Our removal instructions work for Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer, as well as every version of Windows.

Have you recently opened your Chrome, Explorer or Firefox browser only to realize that it doesn’t behave the way it used to. A new homepage or a new search engine has mysteriously been installed on it and a bunch of nagging ads, pop-ups and banners have started appearing all over the screen. Such activity could be very dubious and may even make you think that you have caught some sort of a virus. However, the most probable reason for it is usually a browser hijacker – a piece of page-redirecting software, which can add itself to any browser and make it display certain sponsored content or redirect the users to promotional web pages. Travassactechnology.com “Virus” is a program of this type and on this page, we are going to elaborate upon its features. If you want to remove the nagging ads and remove the new browser changes, we suggest you read the information that follows and pay special attention to the instructions in the Removal Guide below.

Is Travassactechnology.com a virus?

The computer viruses are malicious pieces of software, which are created to carry out certain illegal tasks, harming the user and the user’s computer in the process. Typical examples of such threats are Trojans, Ransomware, and Spyware. Page-redirects like Travassactechnology.com , however, are not considered to be viruses and instead they are regarded as browser hijackers. These pieces of software generally represent browser components, which tend to get added to your default browser. They usually have the ability to change your current homepage or search engine and initiate generation of various ads, banners, and pop-up during the entire duration of your browsing session. The idea behind this activity is to redirect you to certain sponsored advertising content, the clicks on which would generate Pay-Per-Click revenue, website traffic or direct sales for the people, whose products are being promoted. The users, who have to endure this constant exposure to ads and browser changes, however, may not be able to use their hijacked browser normally. This is the main reason for them to wish to uninstall this type of software from their PC, even if it does not represent a direct security threat to their system.

The best way to stop any ad-generating activity and browser modifications, initiated by Travassactechnology.com “Virus”, is to simply remove this software from your system. For fast and safe removal, we suggest you use the professional Travassactechnology.com “Virus” removal tool, which can scan your PC throughout and remove all the related browser-hijacker scripts. How can you end up with Travassactechnology.com installed on your browser?

Program bundles, different free installation packs and automatic installation managers, torrents, free download links, spam emails and attachments and open source platforms are the most common distributors of browser hijackers. Such programs may become part of your system usually if you are careless about the way you install software bundles from the above-mentioned sources and skip customizing them through the “Custom/Advanced” installation option.

What issues may Travassactechnology.com “Virus”cause while on your PC?

Unlike the real computer threats such as Ransomware, Trojans and other dangerous viruses, a browser hijacker cannot typically cause serious damage, data loss or irreparable corruption of the system. However, such software is still considered to be potentially unwanted by most of the users and the security experts, because it may lead to significant browsing disturbance and irritation. Imagine dealing with tens of pop-ups, blinking boxes, ads and sudden page redirects every time you open your browser and want to search for something on the web. Not only can this be very annoying, but you may often be aggressively prompted to click on links that you may not want to visit or use sponsored browsing tools (search engine, homepage, toolbar) which may not be as trusted as the ones you usually use. Being redirected to different advertising content may also hide another risk. What we have in mind here is the possibility of landing on some insecure websites or potential malware transmitters such as fake ads, misleading links, pop-ups and infected or illegal web platforms. Every security professional would tell you that keeping a program, which can redirect and modify your browsing results in favor of certain sponsored content, may not be a good idea and they would rather recommend you uninstall it. In most of the cases, such software may try to provide its owners with valuable marketing information about your latest browsing activity, likes, shares, searches, and bookmarks, meaning that such a hijacker/page redirect may keep a track on your web surfing and transmit this information to different advertisers and online marketers.
