This page aims to help you remove Tuneup Pro. Our removal instructions work for every version of Windows.

In the next few paragraphs, we will review a piece of software named Tuneup Pro that a number of users and researchers have reported for being a PUP (potentially unwanted program) and we will explain to you the reasoning behind such a conclusion. After we give you a general idea about the different characteristics of this software tool, you should be able to determine for yourself whether or not you need such a program on your computer. Also, in case you already have Tuneup Pro on your machine, we will also offer you a removal guide manual that could help you uninstall this software and remove all of its components from your PC.

System optimization

Everybody wants their computer to run faster and to have better stability and performance. You likely all know that nice feeling of buying a new machine that works super smooth with little to no performance disturbance. However,as time passes and unneeded data as well as various errors and problems start to get accumulated inside the PC, it eventually becomes slower and its performance more or less decreases. Of course, on a powerful machine this isn’t as noticeable, yet, if you have a computer that can no longer be considered new, you’d likely want to have its performance boosted as it’s no longer what it used to be.

Because of this, many software developers have created program utilities that are advertised as system-optimization tools. The purpose of such programs is to reinvigorate the computer they are installed on by cleaning junk data, optimizing the computer’s Registry or by fixing certain system errors and problems. The issue, however, is that most such tools aren’t as effective as their creators try to make them out to be. According to many software researchers, the program that we will be focusing on in this article, too, falls under this group of optimization software tools that do not really benefit their users as much as they are supposed to.

In its official website, Tuneup Pro is said to be able to optimize a computer’s Registry by “removing fragmentation”, “deleting unused entries” and “compacting the Registry”. According to the developers of this software tool, such actions would not only make the computer run faster and smoother due to improved data access but would also make the PC system more stable due to reduced likelihood of emergence of errors. All of this sounds great – faster and more stable machines is what we all want. The thing is, though, that it isn’t actually clear how effective the Registry cleaning-up would actually be. Nearly all system optimization utilities have a Registry-cleaning function that is supposed to help the computer perform better but in reality, the actual benefit from such a feature is oftentimes negligible or maybe even non-existent. You see, even if your Registry gets cleaned-up, there’s little to no evidence that this would in some way make your machine run faster or smoother. Sure, the Registry is an important component of your system yet even if it does indeed get optimized the benefits from that would oftentimes be next to impossible to actually notice. Furthermore, according to many researchers, in some cases such optimization tools might actually delete Registry keys that are important to the normal functioning of your system, which could lead to a number of issues.

Leaving aside the actual effectiveness of the Registry clean-up feature, one other even more important factor regarding Tuneup Pro’s functionality is the fact that, though the program is offered as a free download, you will still need to buy its license if you actually want to use its optimization capabilities. To download the tool, you really aren’t required to pay anything. However, after you download it and install it, you will be asked to buy its “full version” in order to use the tool for cleaning your machine’s Registry. The actual free version of the tool only tells you that there are errors that need to be fixed without really giving you any more specific information. This basically means that if you decide to stick to the free variant of the program, you wouldn’t really get anything beneficial out of it.

Tuneup Pro can be downloaded from its official site but it is also possible that you get this tool on your PC by installing a file bundle since such freeware tools are commonly distributed through the file-bundling method. If Tuneup Pro is added to a file-bundle, it means that the tool gets put inside the installer of another program and if that other program gets installed using the default setup configuration, the bundled application would also get installed on the PC by default. To avoid that in future, remember to use the custom setup settings that allow you to see what other applications are included in the bundle and choose which of them to leave out before launching the installation process. Simply opt-out of anything that looks unwanted and you should be good to go.

If Tuneup Pro is currently on your PC and you’d like to remove it, use the instructions from our guide on this page in order to uninstall the program from your PC.
