In reply to Gian. Hi Gian, if it was remove from the Chrome Store, then it is considered to have malicious attributes. They most likely found something hazardous lines in the code. That is why you should delete it and find another software that can meet your needs.

In reply to Doug. Hi Doug, it was market unsafe, probably because they haven't updated their software and now it is harmful. I would suggest you to find another software that is less harmful.

I’d like to express a little bit of concern. I downloaded this extension via the Google Store on my computer 2 years ago, since FVD stopped working properly. And i gotta say, it worked wonderfully. On almost every single site. And a side for a brief moment in which my google resarches were redirected – thing i solved in a matter of some click on the settings – I never experienced any problem. I saw no ad, no pop-up and stuff.
I will get rif of it anyway but… i do read it’s “harmless” here. I mean, i wanna understand.
It’s just “annoying” or it can actually send viruses, break my computer or steal my datas?

If it’s just an ads or redirecting problem, i never experienced it, and i theorically could keep use it cause it does its job.

As far as we know, we have no malware on our PC as a result of using Skyload extensions.

Hi: we use chrome extensions of Edge to download media to our PC. Without warning, “Video Downloader by Skyload” then subsequently ‘Pro’Video Downloader by Skyload has been Disabled. On the Edge extension list we find:

Pro Video Downloader by Skyload Size: 2.6 MBSize2.6 MBVersion: 7 . 2 . 1Version7.2.1

This extension has been disabled because it’s been marked unsafe by the Chrome Web Store.

Why is it suddenly ‘unsafe’? What’s unsafe about it?

We’ve used this extension for years without incident along with one other downloader. Skyload always picked up media that the others could not, making Skyload our go-to product.

Can the folks at Skyload ‘make nice’ with chrome and be reinstated?

What are our options? Of course, if it truly IS Unsafe then that would be a different story.
